Description
IMPACT OR STRIPE ENGRAVING MACHINE Field of the Invention The present invention relates to an impact or scratch engraving machine, especially intended for the engraving of signs and / or characters on surfaces of metal parts, plastic material, etc., and is of type comprising a pneumatic or solenoid engraving device, which is equipped with a percussion tip capable of impacting on the surface to be engraved and moving with a predetermined trajectory the successive point deformations produced in each impact record the different figures. It can also work by scratching on the surface, for which a pressure of the tip is maintained on the piece to be engraved. These machines are widely used in countless industrial activities, to record on pieces signs or characters that make up a key or reference of identification or supplier of certain information. More specifically, the machine of the invention is of the type comprising a carriage which is a carrier of the recording device and which can be moved in a controlled manner along an axis parallel to the surface to be engraved. Description of the State of the Art German Patent No. 2423424 already discloses a machine of the exposed type, in which the axle on which the carrying carriage of the firing device is mounted is endless. The rotation in one direction or the other of this screw causes the linear displacement of the carriage. In addition, the carriage can rotate in one direction or another at a certain angle on the screw itself. The exposed constitution requires driving mechanisms of considerable complication. European Patent 371896 discloses a machine of the above-mentioned type, in which the axle on which the carrying carriage of the firing device is mounted consists of a bar with a circular section on which the carriage can be moved longitudinally and rotated in one direction. another sense a certain angle. In the two cases described above, the carriage of the engraving device is rotatable with respect to the spindle or bar that constitutes the axis along which said carriage can move. Spanish Patent No. 9401318 discloses a recording machine in which the carrier carriage of the recording device can be moved, as in the previous cases, along an axis. This axis is materialized by a guide bar of polygonal section, which can rotate freely on its axis. In this case the carriage can only move linearly on the guide bar, but not rotate on it, said bar being the one that can rotate on its axis. In all the exposed cases, the carriage carrying the recording device can slide along a spindle, bar or rail and rotate on a certain angle in both directions, this second movement being achieved by the possibility of turning the carriage on the spindle or bar or by turning the rail on its own axis. SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION The invention relates to a machine of the type already described, comprising a pneumatic or solenoid engraving device that is mounted on a carriage movably controlled along a guide rail parallel to the surface to be marked, whose The carriage can rotate about an axis parallel to said surface and is related to a drag belt parallel to the same surface, to cause its displacement along the rail. The machine of the invention is characterized in that the aforementioned rail is mounted on a tilting support, rotating on an axis parallel to the rail and coinciding with the section of the driving belt with which the carriage carrying the recording device is related. In this way, the axis of rotation of the carriage carrying the recording device and the guide bar along which the carriage moves are not coincident, being in a parallel position and separated from each other by a certain distance. With the constitution described, rotating the carrier carriage of the recording device in one or the other direction will cause a certain twisting in the section of the driving belt with which said carriage is related. NeverthelessWhen the axis of rotation of the trolley coincides with this section of the belt, the caused torsion will be minimal, without producing appreciable alterations, all this taking into account also the relatively small amplitude in the turning of the trolley in one or the other direction. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS The exposed features of the invention make it possible to considerably simplify the constitution of the machine. The exposed features, as well as others specific to the invention and the advantages derived therefrom, are set forth more clearly in the following description, made with reference to the attached drawings, in which a non-limiting example of embodiment is shown. In the drawings: Figure 1 is a. front elevation of a machine constituted according to the invention, with the front wall of the housing removed. Figure 2 is a right side elevation of the machine, with the wall on the same side suppressed.
Figure 3 is a left side elevation of the machine of Figure 1, with the wall of the same side removed. Figure 4 is a top floor of the machine, with the lid or upper base of the housing removed. Detailed Description of the Invention The machine shown in the drawings includes a housing or frame which in the example shown in the drawings is composed of longitudinal walls 1, transverse walls 2 and a top cover or base 3. Within this frame, between the walls 2 is mounted a swinging support consisting of two elbow arms 5 and 6 in alignment one of its branches while through the other branch are articulated to the transverse walls 2 of the frame by axes 7 in alignment to define the axis of rotation of the support. A rail 8 is fixed to the armless branches of the arms 5 and 6 in which a carriage 9 carrying a recording device 10, pneumatic or solenoid-carrying, is mounted with slidable facer along it. a striker tip 11. Two pulleys 12 and 13 are also mounted inside the frame or casing between which the belt 14 runs. The pulley 12 is driven by a motor 15 also fixed inside the frame or casing. The belt 14 is parallel to the guide rail 8, the carriage 9 being connected to one of the sections of the belt 14 through an arm 16, which is fixed to this section of the belt by any system. The pulleys 12 and 13 are arranged so that the section of the belt 14 with which the arm 16 is related coincides with the axis of rotation 7 of the support composed of the elbow arms 5 and 6, as can best be seen in FIG. Figure 1. The branch of the arm 5 articulated to the wall of the frame 2 is extended in a section 17 which is a carrier, as best seen in Figure 2, of a sector of toothed pulley 18 which meshes with a toothed belt 19 mounted between pulleys 20 and 21, the first of which is driven by a motor 22 also mounted within the frame or housing. By means of the motor 22, when rotating in one or the other direction, the toothed belt 19 and sector inside 18, FIG. 2, are actuated on the arm 5 causing the tilting of the support composed of the arms 5 and 6, dragging to the guide rail 8 and thus to the carriage 9 and recording device 10. In figures 2 and 3 the amplitude of the total angle of rotation of the recording device 10 and percussion tip 11 is shown by the movement described. This rotation will produce, through the arm 16, figure 1, a slight twist in the stretch of the elastic drag belt 14, this torsion being of practically negligible magnitude, so that it will practically not affect the tension and stability of said belt . By means of the motor 15, through the belt 14, the longitudinal movement of the arm 16 which carries the carriage 9 along the guide rail 8 is achieved. To record on a certain surface, the machine will be arranged so that the guide rail 8 be parallel to the surface to be engraved. By then combining the displacement of the carriage 9 along the rail 8, by activating the motor 15, and the rotation of the recording device 10 around the axis 7, by the motor 22, the striker tip 11 will be able to act on the surface to be engraved. As already indicated above, the arm 16 can be fixed or secured to the belt section 14 by any system. The rail 8 can also have any section to facilitate the coupling of the carriage 9 and its movement along said rail. The displacement of the carriage 9 along the rail
8 is performed in a rigid manner, without movement of the drive and transmission devices, motor 15 and belt 14, and without needing any device or mobile guide to compensate for the transverse displacements. On the other hand, due to the coincidence of the axis of rotation 7 with the axis of the section of the belt 14 to which the arm 16 is connected, a minimum simple twist of this section of the frame will result from the tilting of the recording device 10. belt, without displacement of the same, which allows it to work mechanically optimally, thus ensuring an efficient operation.
