Description

WAX BAND FOR HAIR REMOVAL AND A DEVICE FOR YOUR UT ILI ZAC ION. ? C R I P C I O N OBJECT OF THE I NVENC ION The present invention relates to a wax strip for depilation, constituted by a flexible support strip, on one of whose surfaces a layer of wax of reduced thickness is deposited; This band must be subjected to a prior preparation before being used, contemplating for this the use of a device in which the band is heated until the layer of wax reaches a suitable consistency for its application.
A preferred embodiment of the device has a box-like configuration and is internally provided with a lower heating plate, provided with the corresponding electrical resistance and with an upper plate for positioning the wax strip to be heated.
FIELD OF THE INVENTION This invention has its application within the industry dedicated to the manufacture of products and appliances for the field of aesthetics and more specifically to hair removal.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION At present, different elements and devices used for the depilation of human beings are known; one of these elements consists of wax pads that are heated in any container until the wax reaches a pasty state, applied hot by means of a paddle or similar on the area to be removed and removed once hardened, with the consequent extraction of the wax. hair. The need to heat the wax in a container is inconvenient and has the disadvantage that the container is impregnated with wax, and unusable for other different uses.
Another of the elements used to perform hair removal comprises a support strip, composed of a sheet of cellophane or PVC and provided with a layer of wax on one side; due to the nature of this support strip, in order to achieve the application of the wax layer thereon, the wax must be heated to a relatively high temperature, around 90 ° C; that can produce alterations and losses of some of the characteristics of the same.
Before proceeding to the depilation it is necessary to heat the wax band and since it is associated with the support, it is subjected to the same heating, losing consistency and stability; this variation of the physical characteristics of the support determines that portions of the wax band, which adhere to the wearer's skin, are separated from it during waxing.
If the application of the band is carried out at a lower temperature, in order to prevent the wax portions from separating from the support, the support strip has a certain rigidity preventing a correct adaptation of the band to the areas to be depilated.
The obvious solution to the current problem in this matter, would be to have a support strip formed in such a way that its stability and properties are not altered by the temperature changes to which these bands are subjected within the limits of use or work.
Other wax strips are also known, such as that which is the object of the Patent of Invention US 1,620,539 which comprises a support formed by a strip of fabric on which are applied, on both sides, layers of wax which are joined between yes through the holes or pores of the tissue; this band of wax prevents the wax from separating from the support due to the intimate union with the fabric but has the disadvantage that it incorporates a significant amount of wax, with a corresponding increase in the final cost, only the layer applied by one of which is usable. the laterals.
Currently, some electrical devices applicable to hair removal are also known, among which we can highlight those that present a kind of spiral that, by means of a vibration movement, pull the hair; Although these devices are clean and comfortable to use, they are not as effective as waxing.
DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The wax strip for hair removal, object of the invention, comprises a wax layer associated with one of the sides of a support strip; this support strip has certain characteristics aimed at achieving its stability during the heating of the wax, and that the adherence or fixation of the wax layer to the support strip is completely safe regardless of whether the application of said layer is carried performed at temperatures well below the traditional bands, which avoids the risk of altering the properties of the wax due to excessive heating.
This wax band has great flexibility, regardless of the temperature to which it is subjected, which facilitates a good adaptation of the same on the surface to be waxed.
The support strip included in the band is composed of two sheets of different nature, attached and joined together; in a preferred embodiment the lower sheet, composed of a plastic material, preferably based on polyethylene and the upper one, of greater thickness preferably, but not necessarily, slightly larger than the lower sheet, is formed by viscose cellulose microfibers. These two sheets can be joined by heat sealing using resins-based binder by preheating the polyethylene sheet or other suitable means.
The wax layer is deposited on the free surface of the cellulose sheet, said application being carried out at about 60 ° C, a temperature which is found to be much lower than that used in conventional wax strips for the application of the wax on the supports respective.
At the indicated temperature, of about 60 ° C, the wax spreads on the surface of the cellulosic sheet, penetrating between the cellulose icrofibers with what is achieved an effective and safe grip of the wax layer on the support, preventing can be detached from it during waxing.
The support strip is very flexible due partly to the reduced thickness of the polyethylene sheet, which is significantly more flexible than PVC or cellophane used in traditional bands, and to the corpuscle of the cellulose sheet which increases the thickness of the support and allows a permanent fixation of the wax layer to the support strip.
A preferred embodiment of a heating device for heating the wax-impregnated band before proceeding to depilation is composed of a lower body, or base, and another upper one, or lid, which are hinged to each other, adopting a configuration to Case mode.
In the lower body is housed a heating plate provided with the corresponding electrical resistance; said heating plate is located centrally and longitudinally in the inner part of said base body, and supported by partitions provided for this purpose at the bottom thereof.
The resistor is connected to an electrical cable that emerges to the outside of the device, ending in a socket for connection to the network or a suitable power source. The lower body externally presents, at its base, a recess in which the cable will be collected when the device is not being used.
The device includes internally a second plate that constitutes the support of the wax strip to be heated, said plate being placed above the heating plate and snapped onto the internal contour of the lower body of the device.
The aforementioned support plate is provided with lower temples and, on its upper face, a rear partition for supporting the wax strips to be heated, so that these are not stuck to the plate and can be easily removed and removed afterwards. of its warming.
When the device is in use phase the lid or upper body of the case will be in the open position, exposing the support plate of the wax strips.
Finally, say that the heating plate has a housing for the corresponding electrical resistance.

PREFERRED EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION In view of Figure 1, it can be seen how the strip of wax for depilation that is recommended is constituted from a support strip (1) on one of whose surfaces a layer of wax (2) is deposited.
The support strip (1) is composed, as can be seen in Figure 2, by two sheets of different nature, namely one lower (3), made of polyethylene and another upper (4), composed of fibers of cellulose and viscose bonded with a resin.
The sheet (4) of cellulosic material is of great porosity and on its free surface the layer of wax (2) that penetrates the pores of the former is deposited.
'"The cellulose microfibers included between the wax of the layer (2).
Due to the nature of the sheet (4), which is partially exposed around the wax layer (2), a substantially better looking assembly is achieved and which allows the band to be gripped, for its application, without touching the wax.
To perform the waxing the wax band should be previously heated in an ordinary way. A preferred embodiment of a suitable heating apparatus is shown in Figure 3; this device is composed of a lower body or base (5) and an upper body or cover (6), which are joined by its rear area by a hinge (7) that allows the body to swing (6) with respect to the body (5) to achieve the opening or closing of the device.
On the other hand, the base body (5) and the lid (6) have complementary means of fastening (8) and (9) to maintain a stable position in the closure of the device.
The body (5) forms a receptacle, equipped on its external face with a recess (10) whose function will be explained in detail later, while internally it has partitions (11) that are constituted in the middle of positioning and support for the corresponding heating plate (12), which must be fed logically through an electric cable connected to the network, so that said cable, when the heating device is not used, will be perfectly hidden and stored in the compartment formed by the recess (10). ).
The base body (5) has in correspondence with its internal lateral surface and in proximity to its upper edge, with supports (13) for a plate (14) to be fitted tightly or under pressure on the mouth or internal perimetric contour of the base body (5), and above the heating plate (12), said plate (14) forming the support means for the wax bands to be heated.
Such plate (14) has in correspondence with its edge considered as posterior, with a recess (15) for the correct positioning of that one on the internal back part (16) of the base body (5). The plate (14) is provided on its lower surface with support legs (17) and on its upper face, in the vicinity of the rear edge, with a partition (18) that occupies practically the entire length of the latter; said partition (18) constitutes the support means of the wax strips to be heated, which adopt an inclined position, to facilitate their grip once heated.
The heating plate (12), shown in Figure 7, is provided with a kind of bridge (19) that determines a housing (20) for the location of the corresponding electrical resistance.
Finally, say that the housing (10) defined in the lower part of the base body (5), is provided with a recess (21) through which the electric cable is guided when it is extended to connect it to the network or to a source of adequate food.
It is not considered necessary to make this description more extensive so that any expert in the field understands the scope of the invention and the advantages derived therefrom.
The terms in which this report has been written should always be taken in a broad and non-limiting sense.
The materials, shape, size and arrangement of the elements will be susceptible to variation as long as this does not entail an alteration of the essential characteristics of the invention, which are claimed below.
