A device for playing video programs for video devices, this device comprises: a CD-ROM driver, to place there a title of the CD-ROM that is to be played; a first determination section, for determining a playback control stage of the CD-ROM title, placed in the CD-ROM driver; a coding section, to qualify the first determination section and determine the reproduction control stage; a program display section, to display several kinds of mixed programs, recorded in the title of the CD-ROM; a section of program selection, to select a desired program among the programs exhibited by the program exhibition section; a discriminating section, for recognizing a recording control stage of a recorded video program in the title of the CD-ROM and comparing the recording control stage with the reproduction control stage, determined by the first determination section; a control section, to determine if the program is reproduced according to a result of the comparison from the discriminating section; a reproduction section, to play the program recorded in the title of the CD-ROM, under the control of the control section; and a video-audio output section, to produce video and audio signals of the program reproduced by the playback section.

A device for playing video programs for video devices, this device comprises: a CD-ROM driver, to place there a title of the CD-ROM that is to be played; a first section of program selection, for selecting one of the video programs to be recorded / played, which is supplied with a plurality of video devices; ur. ' control section, to control the engraving / reproduction of the program selected by the program selection section, according to the stages (degrees) of display-restriction of engraving / reproduction; an engraving / reproduction section for performing this recording / reproduction of the program controlled by the control section, based on at least two stages (degrees) of viewing-restriction of the engraving / reproduction, including at least a first stage for a program of adults only and a second stage for a program for young people only, which are determined by a determination section, according to the control signals distinguished by a pulse or a combination of pulses, or inherent control signals, generated from a section that generates these control signals from the control section; and a video / audio output section, to produce video and audio signals from the program recorded / played back by the recording / playback section.
