Description

GRINDER AND SYNTHETIC RESIN BOTTLE THAT CONTAINS IT BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. FIELD OF THE INVENTION This invention relates to a synthetic resin handle for use with a bottle of synthetic resin produced by blow-stretch molding and with a bottle having the handle, which is attached to a surface of its thin side portion. 2. ANTECEDENTS OF THE TECHNIQUE It is technically difficult to mold a handle integrally with a side portion of a bottle of synthetic resin, made from a thermoplastic resin such as polyethylene terephthalate, polypropylene or polycarbonate and formed by drawing and blowing a preform, formed by injection molding in a blow mold for making its thin side portion, unlike a thick resin bottle formed by blow molding. Therefore, a separately molded handle is attached to the side portion of the synthetic resin bottle, making use of molding the insert or employing a coupling means after the bottle is molded. As the synthetic resin bottle having a handle attached thereto, it is known in which a pin projection is provided in a position of attachment of the handle of a main body of the bottle, the main handle body is attached to the main body of the bottle by adjusting the attachment coupling projection of the main body of the handle into a coupling slot portion in a base portion of the projection and then the main body of the handle is attached to the main body of the bottle using a clamping fixing plate or a clamping fixing member. The handle is attached to the bottle by the coupling between the spigot projection and the slot portion, making use of the deflection of a base portion of the handle. Therefore, the spiked projection can not be adjusted in engagement with the slot portion deeper than the deflection of the base portion and therefore, the coupling is not satisfactory. Therefore, when a bottle having heavy contents is lifted holding the handle, the handle is often disconnected from the bottle because it can not withstand the weight of the bottle. When the deflection of the base portion is increased for the coupling, the base portion is bent by the weight of the bottle and the spigot projection is decoupled from the slot portion. Therefore, there is the limitation for the deflection of the base portion. Although the use of the above fastener securing plate or the like is an extremely effective means of preventing deflection of the base portion, since deflection of the base portion is avoided by using the fixing plate or the like formed separately from the base portion. Handle, the molds for the handle and the fixing plate are required for the production of the bottle and the molding must be carried out twice, thus increasing production costs. To attach the handle to the bottle, it is necessary to place the insulated fixing plate on the holding portions of the upper and lower base portions, so as not to interfere with the insertion of the base portions. To prevent the fixing plate from falling at the time of hardening, a complex structure that both ends of the fixing plate form at coupling edges should be employed. Therefore, the production costs of the bottle are increased as a container having the above problems.
The present invention is made to solve the above problems, when the handle is attached to a barrel side portion of a bottle main body by coupling. It is an object of the present invention to provide a handle of synthetic resin, which can be firmly fitted into a groove in a side portion of a synthetic resin bottle by simply and easily attaching the upper and lower contact plates without placing a plate fixed for the contact plates, which are formed of an upper end and a lower end of a fastening portion and projecting towards the inner side of the fastening portion, because the fastening plate is integrally molded with the portion of clamping, as well as a bottle that has the same.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION According to a first aspect of the present invention, a synthetic resin handle is provided, which consists of a holding portion, which is longitudinally long enough to extend from an upper edge to a lower edge of a slot in a side portion of a bottle, a top contact plate, which projects inwardly and obliquely downwardly from the bottom of a fastening portion provided on an upper end of the fastening portion and has a coupling part that is projects upward and facing the holding portion and a lower contact plate, which is formed from a lower end of the holding portion, flexes inwardly and obliquely upwards and has a coupling part which it projects downward at its distal end, in which the step portion of the connection is formed in an upper end portion of the plate of lower contact and a fixing plate having such length that its distal end reaches the interior of the portion of the connecting step that extends obliquely towards the holding portion by flexing its connecting portion with the upper contact plate. According to another aspect of the present invention, there is provided a bottle having the handle of synthetic resin above, which is fixed in the main body of a bottle of synthetic resin, which is formed by stretch-blow molding and has a slot for attaching the handle on a surface of its thin side portion and engaging grooves, which are horizontally long and formed on the upper and lower walls of the groove by integration of the upper and lower contact plates through the coupling between the coupling parts of the upper and lower contact plates inserted in the upper and lower surfaces of the grooves in the lateral portion of the bottle and the coupling grooves in the upper and lower walls of the groove and the coupling between the plate and the connecting step portion in the upper end portion of the lower contact plate. As the initial material of the main body of the bottle, thermoplastic resins such as polyethylene terephthalate, polypropylene, polycarbonate, polyethylene, polyethylene naphthalate and the like can be used and as the initial material of the handle thermoplastic resins having elasticity and rigidity can be used. such as polypropylene, polyethylene, nylon and the like.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS These and other objects as well as advantages of the present invention will become clear from the following description of a preferred embodiment of the present invention with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which: Figure 1 is a side view of a handle of synthetic resin according to one embodiment of the present invention; Figure 2 is a front view of the handle of the synthetic resin; Figure 3 is a longitudinal side view of the key parts of the bottle having the synthetic resin handle of the present invention; and Figure 4 is a longitudinal side view of the key parts of a bottle showing the synthetic resin handle attached thereto.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED MODALITIES In the figures, the reference numeral 1 is a handle molded from polypropylene by injection molding and consisting of a rectangular holding portion 2, which is longitudinally long, an upper contact plate 4, which projects inwardly from the lower part of a holding portion 3 provided on an upper end of the holding portion 2 and a lower contact plate 5, which projects from a lower end of the holding portion 2 and curves inwardly.
The fastening portion 2 has an H-shaped cross-section and a band 2a in the central portion thereof and gently curves inwardly. The upper contact plate 4 and the lower contact plate 5 are formed integrally with the holding portion 2 in such a manner that the upper contact plate 4 is inclined downwards and the lower contact plate 5 is inclined upwards on the side interior of the holding portion 2. The upper contact plate 4 and the lower contact plate 5 have the same width as the fastening portion, but their thicknesses are such as to produce a certain degree of deflection. A coupling piece 6 is provided on the upper surface of the upper contact plate 4 and faces a holding portion 3, so that it projects upwards and a coupling piece 7 is provided on the lower surface of an upper end portion of the lower contact plate 5, such that it projects downwards. An upper end portion 8 of the coupling piece 5 is formed inwardly, as a thick block and a connecting step portion 10 to be coupled with the end of the fixing plate 9 and extends from the plate upper contact 4, is formed at the end of the upper end portion 8 in a transverse direction.
The fixing plate 9 has a connecting portion, which is "curved largely inwards from the lower part of the coupling part 6 of the contact plate 4, extends lengthwise and obliquely towards the holding portion. to a length that its distal end reaches, the interior of the connection step portion 10 and has the function of returning to its original position against the pressure force due to flexibility produced by the curvature of its connection portion. 6 and 7 are formed of projecting pieces having a flat U-shaped cross section and an opening in an outer direction to avoid an elevation mark produced at the time of molding a coarse portion. The reference numerals 11 and 12 are holes to avoid a lifting mark on the holding portion and the upper end portion 8, respectively and can be used as a hole to insert a jig for The handle 1 structured in the above is attached to a bottle 20 of synthetic resin, having a thin barrel portion formed by stretch-nosing molding, fitting into a slot 21 to join the handle formed on a surface of a side portion of the bottle 20. An upper wall 22 of the slot 21 is inclined downwardly and a bottom wall 23 is inclined upwards and the coupling slots 24 and 25, which are horizontally long, are formed on the surfaces of the respective walls. The handle 1 can be attached to the groove 21 preliminarily as shown by the chain lines in Figure 4. That is, the upper contact plate 4 is first inserted diagonally into the groove 21 in the side portion of the bottle with the fastening portion 2 positioned vertically, the upper end portion 8 of the lower contact plate 5 is forcedly pressed into the slot 21 until it makes contact with the vertical wall 26, while the coupling piece 6 is pressed in the coupling grooves 24 in the upper wall 22 and then the coupling part 7 is adapted in the coupling groove 25 in the lower wall 23. Since the coupling parts 6 and 7 are only coupled with the coupling grooves 24. and 25 by the reaction force against the deflection produced by the forced pressing of the upper and lower contact plates 4 and 5 at the time of insertion, respectively and not firmly fixed in this preliminary joint, when the outward pulling force is applied to the holding portion 2, the upper and lower contact plates 4 and 5 flex, the coupling parts 6 and 7 slide out of the coupling slots 24 and 25, respectively and the handle 1 is disconnected. To be able to solve this problem, when a lower portion of the fixing plate 9 is pressed towards the innermost part of the groove 21 in the side portion of the bottle, after the preliminary connection, the fixing plate 9 flexes slightly, while sliding on the upper surface of the upper end portion 8 of the upper contact plate 5, whose distal end faces slightly upwards, curves from the contact portion with the upper contact plate 4 and moves until it makes contact with the vertical wall 26. Since the coupling step portion 10 is open in the bottle of the vertical wall 26, the distal end of the fixing plate 9 falls into the coupling step portion 10 by its deflection and engages with the coupling step portion 10. When the pressing force is removed, the repulsive force returning the fixing plate 9 to the original position occurs at the fixing plate 9 by the curved connecting portion, so that there is no play in the coupling between the fixing plate 9 and the connecting step portion 10 and the fixing plate 9 does not disengage unless it is flexed for uncoupling the fixing plate 9 from the connecting step portion By the coupling between the distal end of the fixing plate 9 and the connecting step portion 10, the fixing plate 9 functions as a strut member between the plate upper contact 4 and the lower contact plate 5 and the upper and lower contact plates 4 and 5 are pressed against the upper and lower walls 22 and 23, respectively, to make the couplings between the coupling parts 6 and 7 and the coupling parts leak-tight. coupling slots 24 and 25. Therefore, even if greater tensile force is applied to the holding portion, the upper and lower contact plates 4 and 5 support the pulling force and prevent the handle 1 is disconnected from the bottle. To disconnect the handle 1, a thin plate jig is inserted between the fixing plate 9 and the vertical wall 26 and the fixing plate 9 is forcedly bent to remove the distal end of the fixing plate 9 from the portion of connection step 10. On the handle 1 in which the fixing plate 9 is to be coupled with the connecting step portion 10 of the upper end portion 8 of the lower contact plate 5, extends from the upper contact plate 4, it is not necessary to set the fixing plate 9 in such a way that does not fall in the space between the upper and lower contact plates 4 and 5 at the time of joining the fixing plate 9, unlike the case where the fixing plate is formed separately from the handle and the handle 1 is pressed simply by directly coupling the distal end of the fixation plate with the connecting step portion. Therefore, the job of attaching the handle 1 is extremely simple and can be done automatically without the help of human work. Since the fixing plate 9 is integrally molded with the handle 1, a mold for the fixing plate is not necessary and the fixing plate by itself extends from the upper contact plate 4. Therefore, the structure of the handle is not complex and only the handle is molded, thus reducing molding costs. As a result, the handle can be produced at low cost.
