Description

"CREPITO DOCUMENT JOINED TO AN ADAPTED DOCUMENT OR CARD, INDEPENDENT ADAPTED CREPIT CARD AND RELATED EQUIPMENT FOR ISSUE AND VALIDATION" Inventor: FERDINANDO BOZZO, Australian, domiciled at 76 Kendlerstrasse, Slazburg, Austria.
Causatee: PRIMA OFFICINA CARTE VALORI TURATI LOMBARDI & C. S.p.A., Italian company, domiciled in Viale Lombardia 25, 20056 Trezzo Sull'Adda, Milan, Italy.
FIELD OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to a credit document attached to a document or card adapted to the customer, with a credit card adapted to the independent customer, and with the related equipment for the issuance and validation. Specifically, the present invention relates to a credit document for the provision of a payment system that has absolute security characteristics, and with the equipment which allows the issuance, control and validation of the credit document and the complementary identification document. and with a traditional credit card adapted and validated by the aforementioned team.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION As is known, there are several instruments for the establishment of commercial exchanges or the transfer of goods and services between one individual and another. In addition to the current legal currency, used in general for small amount negotiations, credit documents are used, for example bank and bank checks, whose function is to limit the risks involved with the circulation of credits. Another instrument that is always more widespread and which allows making payments consists of credit cards consisting of non-transferable documents which authorize the bearer to purchase goods and services from third parties approved by the card issuer, in general banks and financial organizations, to which the burden of payment is transferred. The alternative cash payment instruments prevent the user from carrying a quantity of money, sometimes large, with the related risks. Still, these instruments are not considered completely safe. Credit cards can be easily used by third parties at least until the time of reporting their theft or loss, while checks, despite numerous provisions adopted, are imitated and deceptively falsified. Given the large number of payment transactions carried out each day it is understandable how these problems are perceived in a very serious way, considering that they involve numerous categories simultaneously, that is, clients, credit organizations, and the authorities responsible for the control and repression.
DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The purpose of the present invention is thus to eliminate the disadvantages summarized above. Specifically, the purpose of the present invention is to provide a means of payment in the form of an extremely secure credit document, usable only by the person to whom it was issued based on a document adapted to the client. Another purpose of the present invention is to achieve the same security guarantee as regards the widely used credit cards. i Another purpose of the present invention is to provide the specific equipment for the creation of the credit documents and document adapted to the related customer, of the credit card adapted to the client independently, and control and validation thereof. These and other purposes are achieved through the credit document attached to a document or card adapted to the client, taretadecrédito adapted to the client independently, integrated on a microchip which is the object of the present invention, which basically comprises a filigree paper support with print recorded on a copper plate and characterized by displaying one or more security codes related to the transaction data, expressed in two fields, in the form of linear and / or cryptographic points based on a key consisting of an identification code in the microchip of the card or credit card, which stores the identification code and at least one expression mathematical which transcodes the fingerprint of one or more fingers of the applicant on the credit document. The constructive and functional characteristics of the credit document attached to a document or card adapted to the customer and the credit card adapted to the client independently which is the object of the present invention also as the associated training, control and validation equipment for the document are summarized in the description of a preferred embodiment thereof, given subsequently by way of non-limiting example with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which: Figure 1 shows schematically an example of a configuration of the paper support forming the credit document which is the object of the present invention. Figure 2 shows a block diagram of the equipment for creating the identification number attached to the credit document, Figure 3 shows a block diagram of the equipment for issuing the credit document based on the identification document, Figure 4 shows a block diagram of the equipment designed to validate the credit document, Figure 5 shows the flow diagram of the payment system that starts from the creation of the identification document. With reference to the figures, the paper support forming the credit document which is the object of the present invention indicated by the number 10 in figure 1 is made of a strip of filigreed paper 12 which preferably has the same size like the traditional bank checks and on which two fields 14, 16 are obtained for the application of the security code of the type with points, and hence not interpretable on sight. The device provided in field 14 comprises, for example, the date of issue of the document, the issuer's code (bank or financial institution) and the amount of the title. The same data is shown in field 16 expressed in cryptographic form by means of a key consisting of an individual code and as such univocally associated with the owner of the document. The individual code is preferably composed of an alphanumeric sequence. The paper support 10 obtained with the copper plate engraving also comprises one or more printing reliefs formed along predetermined areas of the strip 12 and detectable by means of sensors integrated in the validation equipment which is summarized below. Some immediately detectable parts in view of the paper support 10 forming the credit document are indicated by way of example by the number 10 on the strip 12 formed by copper plate engraving or other printing systems to identify the bank or institute sender, the amount of the credit document and its serial number, payment order, etc. The application of the security code on the credit document for issuance to the client that requires it is subject to the possession of a document adapted to the special client in the form of a card. This card is an integral part of the document and allows first the issuance with the security code and also the subsequent validation after use. The personal card advantageously proposed in the form of an intelligent electronic card that has the same size as widely used credit cards, incorporates a microchip on which it is stored, electromotor, the procedure and device specified later, the individual code in the form of a alphanumeric sequence also as a univocal personal characteristic of the user or applicant. The personal characteristic according to the present invention consists of of a mathematical expression which transcodes the parameters associated with the fingerprint of one or more fingers of the user or requester. The fingerprint, as we know, is defined by the projections of the skin which give rise to figures which do not change with the passage of time in the same person. This peculiar aspect then gives rise to a univocal personal characteristic adopted in the present without creation of centalized fingerprint files by means of transcoding in a mathematical expression of the fingerprint taken as regards the reading to a sufficient number of points to avoid interpretative doubts. The shot, indicative and not critically between 150,000 and 250,000 points, is carried out by means of a special transparency, schematized in figure 2, with which the card in question is adapted to the client. The aforementioned device comprises a reader-encoder 20 for the card 22, a control unit 24 connected by means of the line 26 to the bank information system and a scanning device 28 designed for reading the fingerprint or fingerprints of the bank. which are memorized after coding in the microprocessor integrated in card 22.
The scanner 28 is provided with a seat or site 28 'on which the applicant places the finger or fingers for taking the fingerprint to be encoded and stored in the microprocessor. The latter also contains the key to transcode the code with points present in cryptographic form in field 16 of strip 12 that forms the paper support of paper support 10. Said key or individual code consisting of an alphanumeric sequence associated univocally with each The card carrier is generated by the sender's information system, for example, the bank, and sent to the adaptation device of the card 22, discussed later, by means of the line 26 of the device schematized in figure 2. The card 22 which contains the individual alphanumeric code and the mathematical expression associated with the fingerprint or fingerprint constitutes the basic document for arranging, by the issuing organization, the credit document on requisition of the customer by means of the device or equipment outlined in figure 3 Said equipment comprises a reader-encoder 30 for the card 22, a control unit 32 , linked by means of line 36 with the information system of the sender, for example the bank, to record the transaction data (date, client, agency, size of the credit document), a scanning apparatus 38 with window or space 40 for application of the finger or fingers of the client and fingerprinting, and commercial printer 42 having graphic and preferably external modes to the device and advantageously equipped with an automatic feeder for the supply of the strip 12 forming the support 12 paper to be adapted to the customer. The adaptation to the customer of the credit document as mentioned above leads to a security coding defined by a point code applied in the fields 14, 16 of the paper support 12. The coding is subject to validation of the fingerprint or fingerprint of the document. Applicant who places his finger or fingers in opposition to the window 40 of the scanning apparatus 38. Only after verification of the agreement between the mathematical parameters of the memorized fingerprint and those of the finger placed in the window 40 is the identification code read of the client, used as a cryptographic key for the univocal generation of the security code to be placed in fields 14, 16 of the document required by the client in accordance with the procedures described above.
A device designed for the validation of the credit document in the points of sale is schematized in figure 14 and requires in addition to the components defined above and prerogative of the issuing equipment of the document adapted to the client, a verifier 48 for reading the code or dot codes 14 and / or 16 of the paper support 12, a micrometer detector 44 designed for the measurement of the printing relief achieved along prearranged points of the support and a drill head 46 which carries out the cancellation of the document of credit. The creation of the latter in different sizes, subject to the provision of the card that incorporates the customer identification codes and those of the fingerprint is carried out by the following procedure by means of the corresponding equipment or devices. The client who requires from the bank or analogous institution the issuance of the credit document, which is the object of the present invention, first applies his finger, or optionally several fingers in sequence, in the seat or space on the device for the issuance of the card, schematized in figure 2. The fingerprint or fingerprint are taken and stored in the form of an algorithm in the microchip of the card 22 without creation of files of the fingerprint configuration. By means of the communication line 26 the bank system records the operation which gives rise to the issuance of the card and supplies the individual identification code consisting of the alphanumeric sequence, also memorized in the support. The next stage is concerning c >on the issuance of the document or "documents adapted to the client, carried out by the device of Figure 3 which, after the insertion of the card 22 and application of the finger in the window 40 of the scanning apparatus 33 , take and compare the fingerprint and print, preferably with indelible ink, the dotted or dotted security code. After these operations, the customer has the unambiguously adapted credit card and the required credit documents available at the various approved points of sale. D «after using said documents the client, to give adequate guarantees, places his finger or fingers in the window 40 'of the scanning apparatus 38', with which the device for validation p > In Figure 4, install "do at the points of sale. The comparison is carried out between the image taken by the scanning apparatus 38 'and the alternatives stored in the microchip of the card 22 inserted in the reader 30' of the previous device. In the case of positive correspondence, the identification code of the customer is read with the intervention of the linear detectors 42 and the micrometric detector 44. The detector 42 reads the dotted code of the credit document, verifies the veracity of the data and consequently investigates the Univocal correspondence of the credit document with the card of the carrier. The micrometric detector 44 measures the relief of the print recorded on a copper plate at some points of the credit document to determine the validity of the support. After carrying out these inspections, the drill head 46 cancels the credit document by means of drilling, which defines the current account number of the subject who receives the credit document. The flow of the payment system that can be carried out by the credit document which is the object of the present invention is schematized in figure 5 in which the various phases are shown. The issuing organization A provides in the first place, with an Al device, for the issuance of the personal card. This organization, with device A2, then issues the credit documents required by the client. At the point of payment, indicated by B, the device or equipment Bl validates the credit document. Then the last one returns to the issuing organization A for the current collection C which completes the cycle. In the hypothesis that is related to the traditional credit card, the microchip which is provided with the card carries out the memorization of one or more fingerprints of the owner. Equipment basically identical with that for the card 22, attached to the paper support 10, allows the provision of memorization and subsequent reading or taking of the fingerprint or fingerprints for validation of the credit card. The adaptation of the latter may or may not also involve the memorization in the microchip of an individual code of the type provided for card 22. The credit card adapted to the customer is preferably used independently to carry out normal payments, but may optionally replacing the card 22 by the requisition and validation of the credit document 10. As can be seen from the above, the advantages of the present invention are clear. The credit document which is the object of the present invention, together with the adaptation card provides absolutely safe guarantees, since it is unusable by someone other than the owner to whom it is issued. The receiver, in addition, has the certainty of the authenticity and rectitude of the credit document which can be considered cash. The equipment or device provided for the issuance of the card or credit document also as that of validation, allows the performance of all operations of training and inspection of the supports in short times, it excludes each risk of capture. Particularly advantageous is the ability to take several fingerprints from clients' fingers and encode them into a mathematical expression. One of them can optionally be memorized in the form of an alarm signal that blocks the transaction, for example in the case where the client is forced to use a credit document in spite of himself. Another advantage is the ability to adapt traditional credit cards to the customer by memorizing one or two fingerprints of the owner, transcoded into a microchip integrated in the card. The latter consequently can not be used by a person other than the owner. At the point of sale, the recipient can easily verify the match of the customer's fingerprint with that or those matched in the microchip of the credit card shown. The invention as described above and claimed later is proposed only by way of example and it is understood that it may have numerous modifications and variations that all fall within the concept of the invention. Sa proposes possible in particular optional alternative investments of structure or displacements of component parts, which as a whole form the equipment for the formation and handling of the credit documents which are the object of the present invention and alternative configurations, formal or structural of the credit documents. i It is noted that in relation to this date, the best method known by the applicant to carry out the aforementioned invention, is the conventional one for the manufacture of the objects to which it relates.
Having described the invention as above, it is claimed as property, what is contained in the following
