Abstract

This invention relates to a new security mechanism for compact disc cases, which can be implemented in any type of new or existing compact disc security box. This mechanism acts by hooking the cavities of the compact disc case and prevents it from being removed from the safe by someone who tries to steal the product. The mechanism can only be opened by a magnet with a magnetic field greater than 600 Gauss or the time of inserting a compact disk case into the safety box. The object of this invention is the development of a simple and efficient safety mechanism, by means of which different types of compact disc safety boxes can be manufactured, in order to offer a solution to the limitations and disadvantages of the models that today in day there are in the market, in terms of the cost of manufacturing, the fragility of the design, its dysfunction in the placement in exhibitors and its vulnerability.

Description

Mechanism for compact disk security fall BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION At present, various technologies and equipment have been loped for the prevention of theft in shops. Such is the case of electronic article surveillance systems, which work by means of pairs of antennas (one transmitter and another receiver), creating a detection field between both to register the security labels (plastic or paper) of the items when crossing said field.
An application of these systems is used in the protection of compact discs and consists in protecting such articles inside transparent cases or safety boxes, where the sensitive label is placed. The compact disc can only be removed from the safe deposit box by means of a tool known as "destacker", which is used at the moment when the client has paid for the item.
Nowadays there are several types of safety boxes that use different opening mechanisms and that are manufactured with different materials. However, these products suffer from several limitations and disadvantages in terms of the cost of manufacturing, the fragility of the design, the dysfunctionality for its presentation in counters, as well as its vulnerability, an aspect that contradicts the main objective for which this was created. type of products. Two models existing in the market can illustrate the above: * Safe (Plastimax de México) It uses a magnetic opening mechanism, which consists of two parts: a metal pivot controlled by a spring and a clamping piece, into which it is inserted the pivot as a way of insurance. Because the mechanism works with two separate pieces, the safety box has to be made in two pieces, which results in a high manufacturing cost. On the other hand, the fact of using a design such as this, prevents the safe box has a functional dimension for presentation in specialized stores.
* Safe box (Checkpoint de México) It uses a magnetic opening mechanism. It consists of a pin installed on the edge of the opening of the safety box that, when activated, prevents the output of the compact disc. The drawback of this mechanism is that it is placed on the outside of the box and this makes it vulnerable to anyone who intends to steal the compact disc.
In order to eliminate these and other disadvantages, a new mechanism for safety box was loped, which works by means of a piece that is directly attached to the case of the compact disc, which is integrated in a one-piece safety box and which it is more efficient and safer than the existing mechanisms.
DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION. The characteristics of this new mechanism for compact disk security box are shown in the following description and in the accompanying drawings.
Drawing 1 is a perspective of the mechanism in a safe. The drawing 2 is a cut of the mechanism that will help to understand its operation. Drawing 3 is a front and bottom view of a compact disk case, where the cavities are observed.
Drawing 4 is a cut of the mechanism, when it is in the "closed" position (holding the compact disc case). Figure 5 is a section of the mechanism when it is in the "open" position.
Based on these drawings we have that the mechanism is formed by: A main piece (No. 1) that is a bar with two triangular and sharp hooks; a metallic cylindrical piece (No. 2), with magnetic characteristics; a spring (No. 3); a base (No. 4) where the cylindrical piece and the spring are housed, and three supports (No. 5). All the pieces are in the base of the safe (No. 6).
The drawings 1 and 2 show the manner in which the mechanism parts are arranged. The bar (No.l) is supported and runs on three supports (No. 5). The supports can be in a larger or smaller number and can be glued to the base of the safety box or be part of the same safe. The main function of the supports is to hold the bar and that it only slides horizontally through them, taking care that the hole where the bar runs is designed according to the shape of the bar, to avoid its movement in other directions and ensure that the hooks fit perfectly into the cavities (No.7) of the compact disc case.
The metallic piece (No. 2) must have magnetic characteristics and its size and shape may vary; can be independent or be part of the bar (No. 1). In this case it is proposed that it be a cylinder, hollow in one of the ends in order to accommodate the spring (No. 3) and joined to the bar (No. 1) by the other end.
The spring (No. 3) is responsible for keeping the mechanism "closed".
The base (No. 4) houses the cylinder (No. 2) and the spring (No. 3). It has a hole, designed according to the shape of the cylinder, where it runs.
The safety box (No. 6), in whose base is the mechanism, must have an interior dimension equal to the outer dimension of the case of the compact disc, or have some interior structure, which ensures that the cavities (No.7) are perfectly aligned to the hooks of the bar (No. 1) at the time of introducing the case, since this depends on the efficiency of the safety mechanism.
The mechanism for the safety box works as follows: "Closed" position (See drawing 4) In this position the spring (No. 3) is in the resting state, pushing the cylinder (No. 2) to the top of the base (No. 4). [In case a case is found inside the safe, the hooks will be firmly holding the case.] "Open" position (See drawing 5) There are two ways in which the mechanism can be placed in the "open" position: 1. When placing a magnet with a very strong magnetic field (more than 600 Gauss), making contact with the side wall of the safety box, where the end of the spring (No.3) is located. The magnet attracts the cylinder (No. 2) and the rest of the bar (No. 1), which then

Claims (6)

Move horizontally in the direction of the magnet, placing the mechanism in the "open" position. Here you have the option to insert or remove the compact disc case, since the mechanism will remain in this position while the magnet is placed next to the cylinder. Once the magnet is removed, the mechanism, by the action of spring force, will return to the "closed" position. 2. When you begin to insert a CD case into the safety box (No. 6), the hooks on the bar (No. 1) enter the cavities (No.7) of the case, without damaging the cover or the printed material. of the compact disc. As this movement continues, the case will initiate a displacement of the bar (No.l) to the "open" position, caused by the slope of the hooks. At the end of this route, the spring (No. 3) can again reach its resting position ("closed"), securing the case to the safety box and can only be released by the magnet or "dislodging". The design of the bar is the novelty of the mechanism, since it allows to directly secure the case of the compact disc to the safety box. Another novel aspect in this design is the possibility of developing an efficient, functional, simple and low-cost safety box. For all the above, we can say that these qualities have not been achieved by any of the security mechanisms for compact discs in the market. NOVELTIES OF THE INVENTION CLAIMS Having sufficiently described my invention, I consider it as a novelty and therefore claim as my exclusive property, what is contained in the following clauses:
1. Mechanism for compact disc safety box, formed by a bar that has two hooks placed in such a way that they coincide with the cavities of the compact disc case, it is supported and slides through some supports. The movement of the bar is controlled by means of a spring that is placed at one end of the bar; to be able to open the mechanism, a magnet must be used that causes the spring to contract. All these pieces are housed in the base of the safety box, the mechanism is characterized by: a bar that is hooked in the cavities of the compact disc case.
2. Mechanism for compact disk security box, as described in the previous clause, characterized by: the bar can have one more hooks.
3. Mechanism for compact disk security box, as described in clause one characterized by: having the hooks configured in a triangular manner with sharp edges.
4. Mechanism for compact disk security box, as described in clause one, characterized by: having the hooks configured in any geometric shape.
5. Mechanism for compact disk security box, as described in clause one, characterized by: the main piece slides through one or more supports.
6. Mechanism for compact disk security box, as described in clause one, characterized by: the supports can be independent or be part of the same safe.
