Abstract

Un proceso para la preparación de compuestos poliazamacrociclos, utilizando una imidazolina nucleofílica, con: (A) un óxido de etileno o un carbonato de etileno, en un solvente aprótico, seguido por aminación intramolecular, y luego hidrólisis básica o ácida; o (B) un sustrato electrofílico, en un solvente polar, opcionalmente en la presencia de una base no nucleofílica, para formar un intermediario, seguido por hidrólisis básicas; o (C) un sustrato electrofílico, en un solvente polar, opcionalmente en lar presencia de una base no nucleofílica, seguido por calentamiento prolongado en un solvente polar, o por tratamiento con una solución de peróxido, seguido por hidrólisis básica para formar una urea, y luego hidrólisis básica bajo presión; y separar el poliazamacrociclo deseado. Los compuestos así preparados son útiles en aplicaciones farmacéuticas.
