Abstract
Se describen sistemas y metodos para disminuir los retrasos y mejorar de esta forma el desempeno de las transmisiones de datos en sistemas de comunicacion inalambrica, permitiendo que se seleccionen rangos de transmision de datos incrementados para un enlace inverso entre una terminal de acceso y una red de acceso. El nuevo rango de datos se selecciona de diversos rangos de limitacion, incluyendo un rango justificado por datos y un rango con incremento limitado. En una modalidad, el rango justificado por datos tiene una disminucion restringida en una forma controlada y no puede caer repentinamente a 0. En otra modalidad, se deja que el rango con incremento limitado regrese rapidamente a un rango de adhesion, si el sistema no esta ocupado, en lugar de tener que incrementar al rango de adhesion de acuerdo con las probabilidades estandar.
