Abstract
The invention relates to a covering device for covering a mounting recess in a cover strip of a vehicle roof. Mounting recesses of this type are, for example, provided for fastening the feet of a roof luggage carrier. The covering device is comprised of an insertion part (1), which can be positioned inside the cover strip (3), and of a hinged cover (2), which is mounted in bearing shells (7) in a manner that enables it to pivot about an axis in the longitudinal direction of the strip and which fills the recess (4) when in a closed position. Said hinged cover comprises both bearing journals (6), which are shaped thereon at both ends, as well as detent journals (11), which can be locked in an open and closed position by means of spring elements (12). These spring elements are shaped onto the insertion part (1) and act upon the detent journals (11). The hinged cover (2), when in an open position, enables an unhindered access to the recess (4) by virtue of the fact that the bearing journals (6) and detent journals (11) are shaped onto the hinged cover (2) via a U-shaped element (5), which is dimensioned in such a manner that the edge (8) of the recess (4) projects into the open space (9) of the element (5) when the hinged cover (2) is open.
Description
COVERAGE DEVICE FOR A MOUNTING ACCOMMODATION IN THE COVERAGE MOLDINGS OF A VEHICLE
FIELD OF THE INVENTION [0001] The invention relates to a covering device for mounting housing in cover moldings of a vehicle awning according to the features of claim 1.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION These mounting housings are provided in sections of covering moldings, where in the awning channel, which is below, are anchoring points for a possible support of support legs of luggage carrier for awning. As long as this fastening option is not used, the housings do not close only for the protection of the point of its etion but also for optical reasons as a general rule by means of a corresponding cover. From DE 198 40 294 C2 a suitable covering device is known, in which the housings are arranged in a closing position of hinged covers in the longitudinal direction of the raised bolt molding, which are formed in a straight extension of the frame. edge of the cover agitable.
This has as a consequence, that the coi i formed below the seats, close accommodation, and that the cover, in the above, forcibly narrow the corresponding to the thickness of the cover.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION The object of the invention is to form the suitable covering device so that the folding cover does not interfere with the access of the housing in the opening position. This object, according to the present invention, is solved in such a way that the bolts are respectively formed on a U-shaped arm, which is measured in such a way that the margin of the housing in the straight state of the folding cover is raised by inside the free space of the arm. By means of this arrangement, the center of rotation of the bolt in the insertion leg and the formation of the arm of the U-shaped cover, the housing of the edges of the awning can be opened almost completely. The cover of the awning is in the final position of the housing folded backwards while the legs of the luggage carrier for awning can be easily directed to the fixing points and fastened.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS Advantageous embodiments of the invention are indicated in the subsequent claims and manifested in the drawings, which interpret a preferable embodiment and are explained below in more detail. Shown: Figure 1 the device according to the invention with foldable covers down in a perspective view, Figure 2 a fragment of the covering molding of a vehicle awning with a covered housing in top view, Figure 3 a cross section through the molding of the cover with a covering device placed when the cover is closed according to line III-III in Figure 2, Figure 4 the same cross section through the cover molding according to the line IV-IV in Figure 2, Figure 5 the same cross-section as in Figure 3 with the open hinged cover, Figure 6 the articulated cover in a top view in perspective and Figure 7 the insert fragment belongs to the top view in perspective.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS OF THE INVENTION The covering device represented in the Figures serves to enclose a mounting housing 4 in a covering molding 3 of a vehicle, while the fastening point that is below the housing 4 is not needed for the luggage carrier for awning. This covering device consists of an insertion fragment 1 which is placed in the cover molding 3 a folding cover, which is movably housed around an axis in the longitudinal direction of the covering molding 3 and fills the housing 4 in closing position. The folding cover 2 is connected with its two ends on a U-shaped arm 5 respectively with bolts 6, which are movably positioned to the bearing 7 that is formed in the insertion fragment 1. The arm 5 in it is formed so that the margin 8 of the housing 4 rises in the collapsible upward state of the foldable cover 2 inside the free space 9 of the U-shaped arm 5. The bearings 7 cover a little more than half the perimeter of the bolts 6, so the bearings 7, while the bolts are pushed inward, are elastically folded together and after the passage to the neck of the opening they are again pressed together and with that they cover the bolts 6. The bearings 7 on the confronted sides are connected with the stop walls 10, by which the bolts 6 after their placement are placed in the ends confronted in the longitudinal direction of the bearings 7. The bolts have ends, which are directed towards each other, called pressure-setting bolts 11, which interact with the spring elements that are formed in the insertion fragment in such a manner, that the pressure-setting bolts 11 are press-fitted into the opening and closing position of the collapsible cover 2, so that this cover 2 is kept secure in these two final positions. In the exemplary embodiment of the present, these spring elements 12 are formed as spring rods 13 in the shape of an arc, which are formed with one end of the insertion fragment 1. The other springy spring end is placed around of an arc directed to the pressure bolt 11 and in its front part 14 is formed with a pressure edge 15, which is pressurized in the pressure grooves 16, which are formed correspondingly, of pressure bolts 11 in the final positions of the aforementioned articulated cover 2.
The insert fragment 1 holding the articulated cover 2 consists of an elongated basic body of elastic and hard plastic, which is formed as follows: At both ends there are cylindrical bearings 17 with two side walls 18 and 19 and with a plate bottom as well as a front wall 21. These cylindrical bearings 11 are connected laterally together, by means of rods 22 which are forming bottom plate 20, which are fixed in half by means of transverse ribs 23. Cylindrical bearings 17 they are formed in the cross section thus, that space is found in the awning channel, which is not shown, below the cover molding 3 and which can be connected in a pressurized manner with the molding edges 25 and 26 which are flanged inside. To this end, at the upper edge of a side wall 18, a hook 24 for engaging an edge of the molding 25 is formed and at the upper edge of the opposite side wall 19 hooks 27 are also formed to a section that is slotted on both sides of this section, which, while pushing the insert segment 3, is suspended inside and then snapped back over the edge of the molding 26. The remaining sections of the side wall 19 are measured so that they collide against the cover molding 3 from below during the press fit of the hooks 27. The two bearings 7 are located at the upper edge of the side wall 18 on both sides of the cylindrical bearings 1 confronted between yes, while the spring rods 13 are formed in a rib or rib 28 inside the cylindrical bearing 17 thus, that the front part 14 that is bent outwardly with the positioning edges n pressure 15 are directed to positioning pins 11. Pressurized The bearing 7 and the rod spring 13 is measured so that the arm 5 can oscillate between them. The transverse wall 29 which is positioned between the side walls 18 and 19 has a seat edge 30 for the folding cover to sit on during its agitation in its closed position. The assembly of the cover device is imaginably easy. 1 insert fragment 1 with its hooks 24 is installed diagonally from below and from behind the edge of the molding 25 of the cover molding 3 and then pushed with the hook 27 above, until they are placed under pressure at the edge of the molding 26 which is opposite. In this, it is only necessary to note that the foldable cover 2, which is previously pushed into the cores 7, is placed in the center of the mounting housing 4 of the cover molding 3.
