Description
PILLOW
TECHNICAL FIELD
The present invention relates to a pillow and, more particularly, to a pillow whose height is adjustable to adequately support the head and cervical vertebrae of the user of the pillow, while the user lies face down to sleep or rest.
ANTECEDENTS OF THE TECHNIQUE
A pillow provided with multiple bearings is well known to adequately adjust the height of the pillow based on the seated height of the pillow user. Such a pillow is described, for example, in Korean Patent Publication No. 2001-0099097 entitled "METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING PILLOW AND BEARING ADJUSTMENT OF PILLOW HEIGHT". The pillow mentioned above comprises a pillow body 1, as well as a suitable number of bearings 3 disposed below the pillow body 1 to adjust the height of the pillow body 1, as shown in Figure 1. In Figure 1 it can It should be noted that the height of the pillow body 1 increases as the number of adjustment bearings of the height of the pillow 3 increases, while the height of the pillow body 1 decreases as the number of adjustment bearings decreases. of the height of the pillow 3. Figure 2 is a cross-sectional view of the pillow of figure 1 showing the pillow body 1 and the pillow 3 height adjustment bearings protected with a pillowcase 2. In 2 it can be seen that the height of a section of contact with the cervical vertebrae 41 of the pillow body 1 and the height of a contact section with the head 42 of the pillow body 1, are not adjusted individually using the adjustment bearings of the height of the pillow 3 when the height of the pillow body 1 must be adjusted. Figure 3 schematically shows a person with a standard Korean head shape leaning his head on the pillow of figure 2. The average proportion of head length from front to back with respect to head width from side to side is 1 : 0.85, in accordance with the head of Korean standard form. A suitable number of bearings for adjusting the height of the pillow 3 is arranged below the pillow body 1 to adequately adjust the height of the body of the pillow 1 based on the sitting height of a user, and then the body of the pillow pillow 1 and the pillow height adjustment bearings 3 are covered with the pillowcase 2. With the pillow construction mentioned above, an occipital portion 55 and a cervical vertebral portion 66 of the wearer can comfortably rest on the body of the pillow. pillow 1, since the pressure applied to the pillow body is suitably divided into a partial pressure applied to a corresponding section of the pillow body that comes in contact with the occipital portion 55 and in another partial pressure applied to a corresponding section of the pillow body which comes in contact with the cervical vertebral portion 66 of the user. Therefore, the user can sleep very comfortably or rest very comfortably when laying his head on the pillow. Figure 3 shows an optimal cervical vertebral angle a and an optimal facial angle ß when a person with a standard Korean head rests the head on the pillow of figure 2. The cervical vertebral angle a is a defined angle between a line connecting the point furthest 99 from one of the shoulders of the person with the swallow point 88 of the person's corresponding ear and the floor when the person lies on his back on the floor, while the facial angle ß is a defined angle between the floor and a line that connects the forehead with the person's filter. In Figure 3 it can be seen that the cervical vertebral angle a is approximately 12 degrees, while the facial angle β is approximately 5 degrees. Figure 4 schematically shows a person with a low average ratio of head length from front to back with respect to head width from side to side, when reclining the head on the pillow of figure 2. For example, a person with a head whose back is flat, can have a low average ratio of head length from front to back with respect to head width from side to side. In case said person rests his head on the pillow of figure 2, the pressure applied to the corresponding section of the pillow body that comes into contact with the occipital portion of the person is less than the pressure applied to the section. corresponding to the pillow body that comes in contact with the cervical vertebral portion 66 of the person, which causes the head to lie excessively backwards. As a result, the back of the person's neck could hurt. In addition, the person could sleep with his mouth open when laying his head on the pillow of figure 2. The result is that his mouth could dry out, which would disturb his deep sleep. In figure 4 it can be seen that the cervical vertebral angle a is approximately 9 degrees, while the facial angle β is approximately 1 degree. These angles obviously deviate from the optimal cervical vertebral angle a and the optimal facial angle ß, as indicated in figure 3. Consequently, no user can sleep deeply and comfortably in a posture in which the cervical vertebral angle a and the facial angle ß they have the position indicated in figure 4. Figure 5 shows schematically a person with a high average proportion of head length from front to back with respect to head width from side to side, when laying the head on the pillow of the head. figure 2. In case said person rests his head on the pillow of figure 2, the pressure applied to the corresponding section of the pillow body that comes into contact with the occipital portion of the person is greater than the pressure applied to the corresponding section of the pillow body that comes in contact with the cervical vertebral portion 66 of the person, which causes the head to lie in excess ively forward. As a result, the person could snore while sleeping. In figure 5 it can be seen that the cervical vertebral angle a is approximately 17 degrees, while the facial angle β is approximately 18 degrees. These angles obviously deviate from the optimal cervical vertebral angle a and the optimal facial angle ß as indicated in Figure 3. Consequently, no user can sleep deeply and comfortably in a posture in which the cervical vertebral angle a and the facial angle ß have the position indicated in figure 5. In the above description, the terms "head length from front to back" and "head width from side to side" are used to indicate sizes of human body parts measured based on the method of the human body of the Standards and Technology Agency of Korea. As such, Figures 6 and 7 show the front and the side of the head shape of a person having a side-to-side head width 89 and a head length from front to back 90. The side head width to side 89 is the measure of a straight line connecting one of the parts furthest on both sides of the head of the person with the other, while the length of head in front to back 90 is a measure of a straight line that connects the furthest point 91 of the furrow between the eyebrows of the person, with the furthest point 92 from the back of the head of the person, in accordance with a definition provided in the method of measuring the human body for standards national physicals of Korea. When the height of the pillow body 1 is adjusted with the height adjustment bearings 3, based on a person's seated height, the person can sleep comfortably if their head has the standard Korean form mentioned above. On the contrary, a person with a head shape different from the head in a standard Korean way, ie a person having the back of the head flat or protruding, could not sleep comfortably, because the height of the contact section with the head 42 of the pillow body 1 changes depending on the shape of his head. On the pillow described in the Korean Patent Publication
No. 2001-0099097 mentioned above, the height of the pillow is adjusted appropriately with the height adjustment bearings, based on the sitting height of a person. However, the conventional pillow presents problems because the height of the contact section with the head of the pillow body changes depending on the shape of its head, especially the shape of the back of the head, as the adjustment bearings of the head height hold the pillow body as a whole, that is, the height adjustment bearings can not support the pillow body separately. Consequently, the conventional pillow fails to provide a comfortable sleep.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
Therefore, the present invention has been made considering the above problems and one of the purposes of the present invention is to provide a pillow whose height is adjusted accurately and conveniently based on the seated height and the shape of the head of the user of the pillow, so that the user can sleep comfortably considering their physical characteristics. In accordance with the present invention, the above purpose and other of its purposes can be achieved by providing a pillow comprising: a pillow body bag 13 filled with filling materials 11; a height adjustment pouch of the cervical vertebrae 23 attached to the pillow body pouch 13 under a contact section with the cervical vertebrae 51 of the pillow body pouch, wherein the height adjustment pouch of the vertebrae cervical 23 is filled with height adjustment materials of the cervical vertebrae 21; and a head height adjustment bag 33 attached to the pillow body bag 13 under a head contact section 52 of the pillow body bag, wherein the head height adjustment bag is located adjacent to the height adjustment pouch of the cervical vertebrae, where the head height adjustment pouch is filled with materials for adjusting head height 31. Preferably, the body bag entries of pillow 13, the height adjustment pouch of the cervical vertebrae 23 and the height adjustment pouch of the head 33, can be closed by means of the slide fasteners 100, respectively. PREFERRED MODALITY OF THE INVENTION
Figures 8a and 8b are perspective views of a pillow in accordance with the present invention, showing the pillow filled and not filled with materials, respectively. Figures 9a and 9b are cross-sectional views taken along line AA of Figure 8a, showing the pillow filled with different materials, respectively, while Figures 10a and 10b are longitudinal sectional views taken along the line. BB of Figure 8a, showing the pillow that has no stuffed materials therein and the pillow that has folded at least a portion of each of the pillow body bag, the height adjustment bag of the cervical vertebrae and the height adjustment bag of the head, respectively.
As shown in the aforementioned drawings, the pillow according to the present invention basically comprises a pillow body bag 13, a height adjustment bag of the cervical vertebrae 23 and a height adjustment bag of the head 33. The pillow body bag 13 has a filling space for filling materials 12, where the filling materials 1 are filled. The height adjustment bag for the cervical vertebrae 23 has a filling space for height adjustment materials. of the cervical vertebrae 22, where the height adjustment materials of the cervical vertebrae 21 are filled, which is filled, for example, with multiple bearings. The height adjustment pouch of the cervical vertebrae 23 is attached to the pillow body pouch 13 under a contact section with the cervical vertebrae 51 of the pillow body pouch 13. Similarly, the pouch of adjustment of Head height 33 has a head height adjustment material filling space 32, which is filled with the height adjustment materials of the head 31, for example multiple bearings. The height adjustment bag 33 is attached to the pillow body bag 13 under a head contact section 52 of the pillow body bag 13. As best shown in Figures 9a and 9b, the filling materials, the height adjustment materials of the cervical vertebrae 21 and the height adjustment materials of the head 31 are filled into the filling space of filling materials 12 defined in the pillow body bag 13, the filling space of the height adjustment materials of the cervical vertebrae 22 defined in the height adjustment bag of the cervical vertebrae 23, as well as the filling space of the height adjustment materials of the head 32 defined in the bag of height adjustment of the head 33, respectively. Subsequently, a portion of each of the pillow body bag 13, the height adjustment bag of the cervical vertebrae 23 and the height adjustment bag of the head 33, is bent and fitted between the filling materials 1 and the height adjustment materials of the cervical vertebrae 21 and between the filling materials 1 and the height adjustment materials of the head 31, as shown in Figure 0b. The filling materials 11 include cotton, grains, minerals, wood, synthetic resin or other materials suitable for pillows. The height adjustment materials of the cervical vertebrae 21 and / or the height adjustment materials of the head 31 are in the form of flat bearings, which are preferably made of compressed cotton, although the height adjustment materials of the cervical vertebrae 21 and / or the height adjustment materials of the head 31 may include cotton, grains, minerals, wood, synthetic resin or other materials suitable for pillows such as the filling materials 11. Alternatively, the height adjustment materials of the cervical vertebrae 21 and / or the height adjustment materials of the head 31 can have the shape of tubes, which are made of synthetic resin with a diameter of 8 mm, for example, as shown in Figure 9b. In general, the height of a pillow is increased by 0.5 millimeters for each centimeter of height of a user. Therefore, in the case that height adjusting materials of the cervical vertebrae 21 and height adjustment materials of the tubular head 31 are used, the height of the pillow body 1 can be easily adjusted by increasing or decreasing the number of tubes. The height adjustment materials of the cervical vertebrae 21 and / or the height adjustment materials of the head 31 can be implemented with several different tubes made of suitable materials other than the synthetic resin mentioned above. In addition, the tubes may have several distinct sections, such as a circular section, a square section, a pentagonal section, a hexagonal section and an octagonal section. It should be understood that the height adjustment materials of the cervical vertebrae 21 and the height adjustment materials of the head 31 can be different from each other in shape. For example, the height adjustment materials of the cervical vertebrae 21 can have the shape of tubes, while the height adjustment materials of the head 31 are in the form of bearings. Naturally, the heights of the contact section with the cervical vertebrae 51 and the head contact section 52 of the pillow body bag 13 can be adjusted separately, depending on the amounts of filling materials 1 1, the materials of height adjustment of the cervical vertebrae 21 and head height adjustment materials 31. The pillow body bag 13, the height adjustment pouch of the cervical vertebrae 23 and the height adjustment bag of the head 33 They can be made from commonly available fabrics. In one example of the present invention, each of the pillow body bag 13, the height adjustment pouch of the cervical vertebrae 23 and the height adjustment bag of the head 33, is made of an elastic fabric, and the pillow body bag 13, the height adjustment pouch of the cervical vertebrae 23 and the height adjustment bag of the head 33 are combined together by sewn lines 60 formed when sewing with a sewing machine. Preferably, a closure member 100, such as a closure or a slidable closure, is attached to an inlet of each of the pillow body bag 13, the height adjustment pouch of the cervical vertebrae 23 and the adjustment bag. of height of the head 33, as shown in the drawings, so that the entrance of each of the pillow body bag 13, the height adjustment bag of the cervical vertebrae 23 and the height adjustment bag of the head 33, can be easily closed with the closure member 100. Instead of the aforementioned sliding closure, a Sailboat fastener can be attached to the entrance of each of the pillow body bag 13, the height adjustment bag of the cervical vertebrae 23 and the height adjustment bag of the head 33, so that the entrance of each of the pillow body bag 3, the height adjustment bag of the cervical vertebrae 23 and the adjustment bag of height of the head 33, can be closed easily by means of the sailboat fastener with sufficient elasticity, depending on the amounts of the height adjustment materials of the cervical vertebrae 21 filled into the height adjustment pouch of the cervical vertebrae 23 and the height adjustment materials of the 31 head stuffed in the head height adjustment bag 33, when the filling materials 11, the height adjustment materials of the cervical vertebrae 21 and the height adjustment materials of the head 31 are filled into the pillow body bag 13, the height adjustment bag of the vertebrae cervical 23 and the height adjustment bag of the head 33, respectively. The pillow in accordance with the present invention can be further conveniently used by providing written instructions for use, where the heights and seated heights of the users, as well as the standard weights based on the heights of the users, are indicated by sex and age, based on a ratio of head length from front to back with respect to head width from side to side of each user, depending on the amounts of filler materials 1 stuffed into the body bag of pillow 13, the height adjustment materials of the cervical vertebrae 21 filled into the height adjustment pouch of the cervical vertebrae 23, as well as the height adjustment materials of the head 31 filled into the height adjustment pouch of the head 33.
