Abstract

La invencion se relaciona con un dispositivo interruptor de circuito que tiene un boton de desconexion para desconectar una carga de una fuente de energia electrica y un boton de reinicio para reiniciar el dispositivo despues de que se ha desconectado. Cuando el dispositivo opera en su estado de reinicio, una fuente de energia electrica se conecta con una carga a traves de un juego de contactos ubicado dentro del dispositivo. Los contactos se mantienen cerrados con un boton de reinicio cargado con resorte el cual mantiene cautivos e impulsa a una placa de seguro para moverse hacia arriba para cerrar los contactos normalmente abiertos. En el mecanismo de desconexion mecanica preferido, al oprimir el boton de desconexion se provoca que la placa de seguro se mueva hacia delante y se libere del boton de reinicio. La placa de seguro, luego de ser liberada del boton de reinicio se mueve hacia abajo para permitir que los contacto, que estan impulsados para estar normalmente abiertos, adopten su posicion normalmente abierta. En este momento, al presionar el boton de reinicio inicia un ciclo electrico que provoca que los contactos normalmente abiertos se cierren solamente cuando el dispositivo esta operando adecuadamente y cuando no haya falla en la linea. El dispositivo descrito se desconecta mecanicamente y se reinicia electricamente, y se puede desconectar sin la energia a ser suministrada al dispositivo.
