Abstract

Un aparato de valvula de descarga para utilizarse en vagones de carga equipados con equipo de frenado ECP comprende un montaje de valvula de carrete y un montaje de valvula de control. El montaje de valvula de control comprende una palanca con la cual un trabajador ferroviario puede aceptar la presion en el cilindro de un freno al cual esta conectado el montaje de valvula de carrete. Operando la palanca despues de una aplicacion del freno, un trabajador puede no solo liberar manualmente la presion del cilindro del freno sino tambien trabar el cilindro del freno en un estado libre hasta que el montaje de valvula de carrete sea reajustado. El montaje de valvula de carrete puede seR reajustado unicamente ordenando al equipo de frenado ECP despresurizar una camara de control debajo del montaje de valvula de carrete, en respuesta a lo cual la aplicacion ECP y la valvula de descarga son nuevamente colocadas en comunicacion con el cilindro del freno. La palanca tambien puede ser utilizada para soplar manualmente los reservorios auxiliar y de emergencia.
