Abstract
Se describe una celda de combustible para generar una corriente en respuesta a la presencia de acetileno en un fluido. La celda de combustible comprende primeros y segundos medios de electrodo porosos al gas y medios de electrolito acido interconectando los primeros y segundos medios de electrodo para facilitar la oxidacion del acetileno en los primeros medios de electrodo y la reduccion electroquimica de oxigeno en un gas que contiene oxigeno en los segundos medios de electrodo para generar la corriente, los primeros medios de electrodo siendo medios de electrodo de oro porosos al gas.
