Abstract

The invention concerns a method for making film (10) packages having at least a peelable zone, characterised in that it comprises steps which consist in:conveying strip or edged sections (20) of peelable material on a film (10) designed to form the package wall;in flattening at least at the ends each section (20) and in fixing each section (20) of peelable material on the film (10). The invention also concerns a machine for implementing said method and the resulting packages.

Description

PROCEDURE FOR THE MANUFACTURING OF A CONTAINER COMPRISING A DESPENDABLE AREA DESCRIPTIVE MEMORY The present invention relates to the field of packaging, and especially to the field of sachets, which comprises closing profiles that are complementary to each other. Numerous packages or sachets comprising closure profiles of this type have already been proposed. Stated more precisely, the present invention relates to containers or sachets that comprise a detachable, that is to say separable, area of connection defined between the internal surfaces of the walls of the container or sachet. Also numerous containers or sachets of this type are known. The function of the release zone is to reinforce the sealing of the container or sachet. It also has the function of allowing a control of the opening of the container or sachet. In effect, the separation of the detachable zone from a container or sachet indicates to the potential buyer that the container or sachet issue has already been opened.
Said releasable zone can be provided inside or outside the closing profiles, with respect to the interior volume of the container or sachet. Generally said detachable zone is made by the provision and placement of a strip of peelable material, that is to say that it has a melting point that is lower than that of the wall of the sachet or container, on the film making said sachet or package. An example of the implementation of such a package can be found in US-A-4,925,318. However, it has been found that the means up to now to carry out these packages are very complex and do not give total satisfaction. In particular, they do not always make it possible to guarantee a sufficient tightness of the containers, especially at the ends of the strip detachable, in correspondence with the side edges of the containers, this, due to the fact that the length of the pieces of detachable material that are forward (directed) on the film that makes up the package, must be less than the width of the film. An attempt has been made to correct this difficulty by making the strip detachable without the contribution of material, by treating the surface of the film. However, this attempt also does not provide complete satisfaction, which is due in particular to the complexity of its implementation.
The present invention now has the purpose of improving the performance of the known packages. The main object of the present invention is to propose sachets or containers that enjoy a superior sealing to that of sachets or containers known up to the present. The aforementioned object is achieved within the scope of the present invention thanks to a process for the manufacture of containers comprising stages consisting of advancing pieces of stripe or border (liseré) of detachable material on a film intended to form the wall of packaging, the pieces having on the occasion of their deposition on the film, a length that is less than the desired width for the container, crush at least at the ends each piece so that after the crush the pieces cover the width of the whole said container, and fixing each piece of release material on the film. The present invention also relates to a machine for the implementation of this method, and also refers to the containers thus obtained. Other characteristics, objects and advantages of the present invention will come to light, thanks to the reading of the following detailed description, with reference being made to the attached drawings, given by way of non-limiting examples, and in which: - Figures 1, 2 and 3 schematically represent three successive stages of implementation of the method according to the invention, - Figure 4 represents a cross-sectional view of a closure profile integrated with a detachable piece, according to a variant of the present invention. In FIGS. 1, 2 and 3, the three basic steps of the method according to the present invention have been represented schematically. Stated more precisely, these figures have been schematized: in figure 1, a film preferably dragged in the form of continuous advance, in the direction of its length, in a direction D; in figure 2, pieces of stripe or rim of detachable material 20, consecutively advanced on the film 10, transversely with respect to the direction D of displacement of the film, with a pitch equal to that of the containers to be made from of the film, and: - in figure 3, a step of crushing the pieces 20 and fixing them on the film 10. If comparing figures 2 and 3 it is observed that the crushing step causes an elongation of the pieces 20. In the same way that the pieces 20 have on the occasion of their deposition on the film 10, a length less than the width of the film 10, after the crushing is It is possible to obtain, according to the present invention, pieces 20 that completely cover the width of the film 10 and that are therefore suitable to ensure total sealing of the containers subsequently made. In practice, the steps of crushing and fixing the pieces 20 on the film 10 can be simultaneous. They can also be carried out successively. In the latter case it is preferable that the crushing step be carried out before the fixing step. These crushing and fixing steps are preferably carried out between two jaws or heated jaws. The release material 20 is a material whose melting or softening point is lower than that of the material from which the main wall of the sheet 10 is made. By way of example, not limiting, the material of the peelable pieces 20 preferably consists of copolymers of ethylene, ethylene or propylene. Also non-limitingly, the material of the film 10 preferably consists of polyolefins. Within the scope of the present invention, for the implementation of the aforementioned process under satisfactory conditions, it is considered that the pieces 20 of peelable material must have at least one flat base face intended to be fixed on the film 10. For the rest, the section of the pieces 20 It can be the subject of numerous variants. The pieces 20 can also be rectangular or square section, and even globally rounded. On the other hand, by way of non-limiting example, the width of the pieces 20 is preferably between 1 and 10 mm, while the thickness of the pieces 20 is preferably between 0.1 and 2 mm. In FIGS. 1 to 3 the steps of a method of depositing the pieces of peelable material 20 transversely on the film 10 are illustrated. However, and as a variant, it is possible to resort to the deposition of the pieces 20 longitudinally on the film 10, that is, parallel to its length D. The pieces 20 can be an integral part of the closing profiles and be co-extruded together with the latter, as outlined in FIG. 4, or they may be formed by separate elements that are advanced on the film 10 parallel to said profiles 30. The containers or sachets may be subsequently made. following any of the techniques known to those skilled in the art, starting with the sheet 10 comprising the pieces 20 of strip of release material according to the present invention. In a manner known per se, the release strip 20 is brought into contact with the surface in front of the container and is fixed thereon by compression accompanied by a thermal support.
The other conventional shaping, filling and closing operations of the containers will not be the subject of a more detailed description in what follows. However, it should be noted that the process according to the present invention, which consists in advancing the pieces 20, crushing them and fixing them on the film 10, can be followed by a stage of storing the film, for example by winding or winding , the containers themselves being subsequently made in a geographical location that can be different from the place where the pieces 20 are fixed on the film 10. However, and as a variant, the method according to the invention consists of advancing the pieces 20, crush them and fix them on the film 10, can be carried out immediately upstream of a packaging machine, for example upstream of an FFS type machine comprising the means for shaping the package from the film, for the filling of the containers and for their closure. Such an FFS machine may comprise a forming collar for conferring a tubular state to the film, a filling channel opening into the tube thus formed, suitable means for fixing the longitudinal edges of the film together and suitable means for securing the film. carry out consecutively transverse welds on the tubular film in order to limit the ends of each container.
Of course, the present invention is not limited to the particular embodiments just described, but extends to all variants that fall within its spirit. The present invention is applicable to sachets in which the closing profiles are actuated by a cursor. In the attached drawings, the pieces 20 of detachable material covering substantially the entire width of the film 10 are schematically represented. In this case the packages are preferably made by superimposing the pieces 20 on the film thus equipped; another film, of the same width, has a closing profile that is complemented with that of the first film, but devoid of strip detachable. On the other hand, when the containers are made from a single sheet folded on itself or formed in a tubular state, the length of the pieces 20 deposited on the film 10 must be of the order of half the width of the film 10, a Effects of achieving exactly the width of the final container, after crushing.
