Description

COSMETIC GAME Field of the invention The present invention relates to an apparatus for storing cosmetics and to a method for storing cosmetics. BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION In archaeological sites dating back to early antiquity, decorative boxes and containers for items such as jewelry and cosmetics have been discovered. For example, Egyptian priests who were experts in the making of perfumes and cosmetics would supply these products to men and women of royalty. These men and women would keep the products in containers such as a chest. The vessels of Ancient Greece are illustrated with images of young women using oils and ointments stored in bottles. Some of the boxes and containers have had such sculptural beauty and exquisite craftsmanship as to have the value of works of art. Some of the boxes and containers have had utility as jewelry or decoration in their own right. For example, small perfume vials were retained in chains and used as necklaces. The hollow ring-shaped bracelets kept the perfume inside the hollow interior. US Patent No. 4,135,645 issued to Kimmell, issued January 23, 1979, discloses a self-defense ring member with an opening for a finger and a movable member coupled to the ring member. The movable member is secured to a container that has a chemical substance such as a club that can be used for self-defense. The self-defense ring can have the appearance of a cosmetic container. U.S. Patent No. 5,323,924 issued to Wolff, issued June 28, 1994, describes a cosmetic container with a base and a cover attached to the base. The container encloses a tray with a basket. The container also includes a mirror. SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION One embodiment of the apparatus of the present invention comprises a container for cosmetic articles. The container comprises a main body with a wall defining a cavity for receiving a cosmetic article. The wall also defines a reel or slot for holding the cosmetic article. Another embodiment of the present invention comprises a set comprising a container for cosmetic articles and one or more cosmetic articles. The container defines a wall defining a reel. The cosmetic article includes an exterior surface defining a cavity. The cosmetic article is fastened in the container when the reel is retained in the cavity. The present invention further includes a set comprising a container for cosmetic articles and one or more cosmetic articles. The container defines a wall defining a cavity. The cosmetic article includes an exterior surface that defines a knot or spool. The cosmetic article is fastened in the container when the reel is retained in the cavity.
The present invention also includes an ampoule that can be placed in the container for cosmetics. The ampoule comprises a main body and a lid sealed to the main body in a portion of the neck. In another modality, Illustrated with the number 1 50 in Figure 1 5, the makeup articles are held by a pair of retractable protuberances 1 52 and 1 54. The retractable protuberances 1 52 and 1 54 are placed within the perforations 1 56 and 1 58. The protuberances 1 52 and 1 54 are attached to springs of a tension that pushes the protuberances into a space 60. The makeup container of the present invention can, in a manner illustrated with the number 1 20 in the Figure 12, include the annular walls 122 and 124 defining the cavities 126 and 1 28. A make-up article as illustrated with numeral 130 in Figure 1 3 can be placed inside the makeup item container 120. The article of The makeup is held in place by the protuberances 1 32 and 134 or an annular reel which are fastened within any of the cavities 126 or 1 28. The spool can be continuous or segmented to form the protuberances. The make-up article can also be fastened in the container such as number 53 in Figure 3-a or 50 in Figure 3 by threads. In this embodiment, the makeup article includes slots that can receive one or more threads. The apparatuses of the present invention may be made of a polymeric material such as polyolefin or polyethylene or PET or polypropylene or polyethylene or other polymer having an elasticity which allows a protuberance to be "introduced". In one embodiment, the apparatuses are made of a regular low density polyethylene, 0.92 to 0.93 of Union Carbide Company under the name of "Bakelite DYN K-1". In another embodiment, the materials are made of a high density polyethylene, 0.95 or higher, marketed by Phillips Chemical Company under the name "Marlex 5012" or an isotactic polypropylene resin containing a lower amount of copolymerized ethylene than It has a density of 0.91 and a melt index of 0.55 to 230 ° C. A suitable polypropylene is marketed as TC-6-12 by the Shell Company. Other materials may be used to make the products of the present invention, including amino resin, particularly melamine or a urea-formaldehyde resin. Other thermosetting resins can also be used. Other catalysts or accelerators can be added to make the resin in a known manner with the thermoset resin used. The container can be made of a less elastic material if the yarns are used to attach the makeup articles or to attach one container to another. The material has compressibility and elasticity properties. These properties allow the makeup article to be compressed within the protrusion or spool. The material is deformed in response to the force of the movement of the makeup item. The deformation is reversible, so that the material returns to its original shape when the cosmetic article has been removed from the spool or protrusion. The makeup containers produced can be transparent, translucent or opaque. The containers can be painted or without color. The containers can be stamped, with a pattern such as a turtle shell. The containers can be manufactured with embedded materials within the polymeric material. Cosmetic containers can be hollow or solid.
