Abstract

According to the invention, objects (animals or humans) can be treated with a volume of administration products which is matched to the body weight of the object by means of a dosing container (1). The dosing container is comprised of a transparent material and has a constant filling cross section (6). A dosage slide (10) provided with a scale (11) can be adjusted in a vertical position of the dosing container (1) to the actual filling level (15) while using the scale value (14) which corresponds to the actual body weight of the object. The end of the treatment is indicated when the zero value (12) corresponds to the new filling level (16).

Description

Dosing container for the repeated taking of fluent application products in the sanitary field The invention relates to a dosing container made of transparent material for the repeated taking of fluent application products for animals or men in the sanitary field, with constant filling cross-section throughout the expected filling height. In many application products, especially in the animal health field, for example in animal medicines or in products for controlling parasites, the quantity or volume to be administered per treatment depends on the body weight of the animal to be treated. This body weight can also be very different within the same type of animal, as for example in dogs. For the respective owner of the animal, this means that the correct product volume for your animal must be taken from a product container, for which purpose the product manufacturer usually prepares application instructions and incorporates them into the container. In flowable oral administration agents, ie from liquids to pastes, or in granular powdering agents, the container or package is usually accompanied by a measuring cup or spoon. A drawback of this is that the precise measuring container is loose. Screw plugs with dosing scale are not usable in Ref. 127536 in any case and they also have the disadvantage that they only have a small volume and that their filling requires some dexterity. The containers for liquid products often have a printed or stamped measuring scale that allows a dosage by comparison with the corresponding filling level. For spraying agents, the usual spraying containers with hand-operated spraying pump are used, among others. However, the dosage presents difficulties. The manufacturer can certainly calculate a certain stroke volume per spray piston and is indicated in the form of tables for the treatment per kg of body weight. Once the user has read in the table the number of necessary strokes corresponding to the weight of his animal, this must count exactly the strokes for each application. For example, for a treatment volume of 50 ml and a supply of 1 ml per spray stroke, 50 strokes would be required! For such large amounts of product to spray this would not be reasonable for the user and can easily lead to errors when counting at inadequate dosages. The objective is to create a dosing container with a dosing capacity that is easy to use and sufficiently precise, for the repeated taking of fluent application products for men or animals in the sanitary field, the cost associated with this being in a healthy relationship with the utility. This objective is achieved with a dosing slide provided with a scale, adjustable throughout the filling height, subject to this with a tightening action and adjustable with a certain scale value at the filling height of the moment. It is obvious in this respect that for an accurate determination of the volume of treatment the dosing container must be in an upright position at the beginning and at the end of the treatment. It is advantageous in this respect that after adjusting the value of the scale by means of the dosing slide in the vertical position of this dosing container, application product can then be dosed until the filling height has fallen to the zero value of the scale in the position vertical of the dosing container. The new dosing container is suitable, as well as for sufficiently fluent application products, especially for liquids. According to a special embodiment, it is advantageous if the scale of the dosing slide reaches from a zero value to at least that of the maximum usual body weight of the object to be treated (animal or man), and that the scale corresponds to each kilogram of body weight of the object to be treated the volume to be dosed of the application product, the value of the scale corresponding to the actual body weight of the object to be treated being adjustable in the vertical position of the dosing container at the filling height in the dosing range, and indicating the scale zero value after the treatment of the object the height of remaining filling in the vertical position of the dosing container. It is understood that the new concept also includes the investment, that is, that the scale goes down vertically from a zero value. In this respect, the zero value of the scale is set by the dosing slide to the initial filling height of the dosing container and then dosed until in the vertical position of the dosing container with the new lower filling height for the volume of the dosing container. treatment is reached the scale value corresponding to the body weight of the object to be treated. In this respect, however, it is a disadvantage that this scale value must always be re-searched or it must be previously marked. On the contrary, in the normal embodiment the zero value of the scale is always unambiguously recognizable as a mark for the remaining filling height. According to a special embodiment, the new dosing container is characterized by two vertical guide rails on each side for a clamping shoe which fits in the dosing slide. In this way, it is achieved that the clamping pads of the metering slide, for example of the flank or clamping type, exert a clamping action on the dosing container in the transverse direction. The embodiment as a flat or narrow container favors the arrangement of the guide rails in a corresponding configuration of the dosing slide. However, the tightening action can also be carried out in the direction of the flat or wide sides of the dosing container. Naturally, care must be taken that the tightening action has the correct magnitude. If it is too small the dosing slide slides unwanted by itself; If it is too strong, the dosing slide can not be adjusted or only with difficulty. As a general rule, both the dosing container and the dosing slide are made of plastic, such as polyethylene, for example, at least one of both parts can be made with the necessary elasticity. Preferably the dosing slide is made of a transparent material. This has the advantage that the adjustment of the determined value of the scale to the filling height of the moment in the vertical position of the dosing container can be better effected. If the scale extends on both sides of the dosing slide or if two equal scales are arranged exactly opposite each other, then the determined value of the scale can be adjusted particularly well at the filling height of the moment with the dosing slide matching the corresponding lines .ai value of the scale. According to a special embodiment, the dosing container is a spray container. It has been indicated that the new dispensing container is especially suitable for spraying application, therefore especially for the treatment of animals attacked by parasites. As a rule, the scale of the dosing slide is extended in a linear fashion, that is, the division of the scale is adjusted to scale values of the same size, so that the distance of two scale values always corresponds to the same dosing volume . However, according to an advantageous variant, the dosing slide has a division of the scale that varies along its length. This is advantageous when different amounts of dosage per kilogram of body weight have to be administered to light and heavy objects of the same type or of different types. That is, then the scale has in the lower area of the scale different distance between lines than in the upper one, the gradation being generally continuous. On the basis of empirical determinations, the scale can be extended, for example, according to a potential, exponential or logarithmic function, so that objects of the same type with lower body weight, for example dwarf dogs, are assigned more or less volume of dosage per kilogram of body weight than those of higher body weight, for example dogos. The new dosing container can therefore be used in larger fields. Preferably, the dosing slide is interchangeable with another with a different scale division. Therefore, at least theoretically it is possible to use the same dosing container for different application products and application cases. The interchangeability does not cause any problems, since the material of the dosing container and / or of the metering slide is as a rule sufficiently elastic. According to another special embodiment, the dosing slide has several scales with different divisions. Thus, for example, a respective scale is arranged on each side of the dosing slide, of which one, eg, is used for the treatment of dogs and the other for the treatment of cats, that is to say so , one of the scales arranged on the front face and the other on the rear face of the dosing slide. With the same application product for different types of object, the user only needs a single dosing container for these two types of object. The new dispensing container is in the form of a spray container in an exemplary embodiment represented purely schematically and illustrated below in more detail. They represent: Fig. 1 the spray container in side view. Fig. 2 the spray container according to section A-B of Fig. 1 and Fig. 3 a dosing slide with a special scale division in side view. In Fig. 1, 2 the spray container 1 has a commonly used threaded spray head 2. The total filling height 3 corresponds to the height 4 of the filling container 5 itself, which has the same filling cross section 6 on all sides and which extends with a neck 7 up to the spray head 2. The filling container 5 itself has on both sides guide rails 8 extending in a vertical direction, the ones that fit tightening skids 9 of a dosing slide of a transparent material. This dosing slide is provided with a scale 11 that matches the quantity to be dosed and the kilograms of body weight of the animal to be treated, the lines of the scale indicating the amplitude of the body weight of the type of animal to be treated. The scale 11 extends from a zero value 12 upwards and in linear division 13 up to the maximum body weight based on the experience of the type of animal to be treated. The actual body weight of the animal to be treated can be read on scale 11 as a scale value 14 and this can be adjusted in the verical position of the spray container 1 by means of the dosing slide 10 at the level of the fill height of moment 15. The treatment can then be carried out and will be completed when the new filling height 16 has been reached, which in the verical position of the spray container 1 corresponds without changing the position of the dosing slide 10 to the level of zero value 12. This volume of treatment 17 of the application product corresponds therefore to the difference in filling volumes between the zero value 12 and the value of the scale 14 corresponding to the body weight of the animal. On the rear part of the metering slide 10 a second scale 11 is arranged, the division of which has smaller distances between lines and which is intended for the treatment of another type of animal. In this respect, it is of course necessary that on the one hand the application product which is present in the spray container 1 is suitable for both types of animals and that, on the other hand, different dosage amounts per kilogram of body weight of the animals are prescribed. both types. The user can then choose the corresponding scale according to the type of animal. In Fig. 3 the division 21 of the scale 22 of the dosing slide 23 varies along its length. From the zero value 24 upwards, the distance between lines increases continuously. That is to say, smaller animals of the same type from a relative point of view are assigned a lower volume of dosage per kilogram of weight than the older ones. Naturally, the distance between lines can also decrease upwards in the case that a smaller amount of dosage is prescribed for the larger animals, which does not require any special representation.
