Abstract
The invention relates to a beverage can with a rotating lid (2) which is located beneath the punch-in tongue (1) and which for sealing the opened can is rotated on top of the pouring opening. After said lid has been rotated on top of the pouring opening the tongue is pulled up so that its push-in tip, which pushed the scored push-in strip of metal into the can when the can was first opened, presses onto the rotating lid. To ensure that the tongue remains in this position the support situated in the tongue is pushed downwards until it engages the locking pin situated on the can surface. The beverage is now protected against insects and stays fresh. To open the can the tongue is rotated slightly to one side so that the support is no longer held by the locking pin and the rotating lid is released. The rotating lid can now be rotated to one side and the beverage can is open again.
Description
CLOSURE LID FOR DRINK POTS Description of the invention With this closing system it is possible to recap beverage cans with a tear-open opening. Compared with conventional cans, a lid (2) rotatable below the opening tab (1) is provided in this can, and in the latter a "hinged" pressure support (3) is provided. To open, it is pulled (as is known) from the tongue, and the opposing pre-punched sheet is crushed inside the can. Now the boat is open and you can drink it. In many situations you do not drink all the content immediately, and you should protect yourself from insects and dirt. To cover the canister, turn the rotary lid (2) that is located under the tongue (around the same rivet as the tongue) on the emptying opening. At this time the crushing tip of the tongue (1) presses a little against the rotating lid due to the spring effect of the tongue plate, and thereby protects the drink from the insects. The tongue is now pulled a little upwards until it is possible to press down the support (3) and lock it in the locking groove (4). In this position, the crushing tip of the tongue presses with strong pressure on the rotating cover in a stable manner and coated with sealing material, thereby sealing the can against dirt, spillage and gas. To reopen the can the tongue is turned slightly sideways until the support unlocks from the interlocking notch, and the side rotary cover can be rotated again. Advantages: - the drink stays fresh for a long time - the lid is very economical - the drink is protected against dirt and insects
- The lid is very easy to handle and can be used again a sufficient number of times. The numbers in parentheses refer to the drawings on sheet No. 4/4. Fig. 1 shows a "closed" side elevation view and Fig. 2 shows the "open" plan view.
Claims (1)
- CLAIMS Closing system for beverage cans, for drink cans with opening tab (they are also called tear-off tabs), characterized in that - underneath the opening tab, a rotating lid is fixed to its rivet which can be rotated on the lid. emptying opening when the canister is open, in the opening tongue there is a support, which after the canister is open and the revolving lid is turned over the emptying opening, with the opening tongue pulled upwards can be locked towards down in a notch that is again on the surface of the can under the support, in order that the opposite lid is pressed by the crush tip of the opening tab on the emptying opening.
