Description
ANTI-THEFT DEVICE FOR EXHIBITING MERCHANDISE
Description of the Invention The invention relates to an anti-theft device for displaying merchandise, comprising hanging supports for hanging merchandise, which at one end are provided with retaining means to prevent merchandise from being removed from the hanger, and which at the other end, where the merchandise is placed and removed, have hooking means, and comprises a main support with holes where the hanging means of the hanging supports are hooked, and a lock obstruction in the main support to avoid that the hanging brackets unhook.
Many commodity items have mutually conflicting requirements, that is, on the one hand the seller's interest in a customer-friendly display, which provides the potential customer with the possibility to fully examine the merchandise, and on the other hand the need to ensure the merchandise against theft, which would require that the merchandise be kept with candando and not be friendly to the client.
REF.120365
To make the theft at least more difficult and, if desired, to be able to ambiguously identify right-handed thieves as such, the merchandise is often provided individually with an anti-theft device, which can not be removed from the merchandise without a tool. special.
DE-A-36 08 695 describes an anti-theft device for belts, in which an individual belt is hooked and closed with its buckle. If someone wants to steal the belt, the device would have to be taken with it. This would attract more attention than taking a belt without such a device.
FR-A-2 535 594 and FR-A-2. 546 390 describe anti-theft devices for wallets and the like based on the same principle.
US-A-4088228 discloses an anti-theft device for displaying articles of clothing. The hanging supports, in which the goods are hung, are inserted from above into an inner support which slides a closing bar, the bar that interacts with the shape appropriately, inserts the ends of the hanging supports.
All these means of security make the theft more difficult to a degree, but they do not offer real security, or they are so elaborate and expensive that they are not viable for merchandise in supports of lower and middle price.
Therefore, the objective of the present invention is to provide an anti-theft device for merchandise, which on the one hand allows the customer to display the merchandise openly and friendly, and on the other hand offers the greatest possible security against theft of the merchandise, and which can be produced at a reasonable cost.
According to the invention, this is achieved by a device of the type mentioned at the beginning, in which the hole consists of holes drilled in the main support, and the obstructions take the form of a rail covering the hanging supports that have been hooked .
Preferred embodiments of the invention are described below with the help of the appended drawings, in which: Fig. 1 is a perspective representation of a device for displaying portfolios;
Fig. 2 is a side view of the same device; Fig. 3 shows different forms of the. hanging support; Fig. 4 is a perspective representation of an alternative form of the device for displaying merchandise; Fig. 5 shows different shapes of hanging support ends for hooking them to the main support; and Fig. 6 shows different forms of shock absorber for hanging merchandise.
The device shown in Fig. 1 and 2 consists of hanging supports 1 hooked on a main support 2. The hanging supports 1 are essentially U-shaped, the members are bent at an angle of about 45 °. The main support 2 has a number of pairs of slots 3 corresponding to the number of hanging supports. The width of the grooves corresponds to the thickness of the hanging supports and, at their internal ends, the grooves have a widening whose diameter and depth corresponds to a protrusion 4 at the ends of the hanging supports 1. The hanging supports 1 are inserted in
the grooves from the side and, at the end with the protrusion, are pushed downwards in the broadening.
The two grooves of a pair extend different distances into the side wall of the main support so that the flares, and therefore the ends of the inserted hangers are located in a line running obliquely with respect to the longitudinal axis of the head. main support In this position the hanging supports are thus hung obliquely with respect to the main support and can be rotated through a certain angle.
The main support is provided with an obstruction consisting of a rail 5, which at one end is fixed with a hinge 6 that is bent upwards and at the other end can be blocked with a padlock 7. When the obstruction is closed, the Hanging brackets can not be lifted or, consequently, removed from the bra in the main bracket.
Instead of using the obstruction to prevent the hanging supports from rising, an alternative method
it is to use a rotating or bending rail to obstruct the lateral removal of the groove. The obstruction may also have a slide bar rather than a rotation or bending rail.
The closure is effected either by means of a padlock through the holes of the face in the main support and in the obstruction, as in the example shown, or by means of a lock constructed in the main support, the rail or the obstruction bar that are hooked in the lock.
Fig. 2 shows how the merchandise, in the present case of wallets 8, hangs on the hanging supports. The hanging brackets are first passed through the wallet with a member inside the back of the wallet, and then inserted into the main bracket and clogged. The customer can rotate and open each individual portfolio displayed in this way and look at it from all sides, as well as the interior, without being able to withdraw it.
As shown in Fig. 3 a-g, the hanging supports may have different shapes from the U-shape illustrated in Fig. 1. Fig. 3 a shows a support
Straight U-shaped pendant, which points perpendicularly downwards when inserted. Fig. 3b shows a hanging U-shaped support that is also bent, but with respect to an axis perpendicular to the plane defined by the members of the hanging support. Fig. 3 c shows a simple straight hanging bracket with a shock absorber at the end. The shock absorber 'is large enough to prevent the merchandise from being removed at this end of the hanging support. Simple hanging brackets are less expensive than U-shaped brackets, but the latter are more robust. Fig. 3 d shows a hanging U-shaped support with members of unequal length, where only one member is engaged in the main support. Fig. 3 e shows a simple curved pendant bracket with a shock absorber at the end. Fig. 3 f shows an angled suspension bracket with two limbs, which has a shock absorber instead of the U-shape. Fig. 3 g shows a broad hanging bracket for engaging in grooves that are further apart. This hanging bracket is used to display merchandise that is larger or in a different way.
The device shown in Fig. 4 to exhibit
merchandise, for example wallet again, is a simpler embodiment in which the hanging supports 11 do not engage in grooves, but are inserted from above into a properly designed main support 12. The main support 12 is provided with a row of perforated holes 13 in which the hanging L-shaped supports 11 are inserted by their short members 14. The hanging supports are provided at their other ends with shock absorbers 15. As in the As already described, the main support is provided with an obstruction rail 16 which, when folded down, prevents the hanging supports from being removed.
As shown in the .Fig. 5 a-c, the protuberances, by means of which the hanging supports are fastened in the main support, can have a variety of shapes. Fig. 5a shows the end of a hanging support with a pressurized handle. Fig. 5b shows the end of a hanging support with a ball welded on it. Fig. 5 c shows the only angled end of a hanging support as in the embodiment of Fig. 4.
Fig. 6 a-c shows different forms of
shock absorbers at the ends opposite the main support. Fig. 6 a shows a plate adhered to the end. This can be round, but it could also have corners. Fig. 6 b shows the simply angled end of a hanging support. Fig. 6b the end of a hanging support that has been curved in a circle. The shock absorber serves on the one hand as a surface that carries a widening for the merchandise, in such a way that the latter suffers less wear. The shock absorber serves, on the other hand, to move the goods back into an orderly state, more easily, when it has been left in disarray by an observer.
It is noted that in relation to this date, the best method known by the applicant to carry out the aforementioned invention, is the conventional one for the manufacture of the objects to which it relates.
