Abstract

A hinge mechanism for domestic stove doors, said hinge being characterized by a counter-hinge complement fixed in the stove body, one at each side, its main function is to support the oven door and at the same time to ensure a good assembly with the oven cavity. The door is able to sway in an angle of 40°and up to 60°and its total aperture is of 80°carrying out this swinging by means of torque and also it can be detachable.

Description

HINGE MECHANISM FOR DOMESTIC STOVE OVEN DOORS BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION FIELD OF THE INVENTION: The present invention relates to a hinge mechanism for oven doors of a domestic stove. The hinge has a complement called contrabisagra, which is fixed on the chassis of the stove, one on each side and its main function is to support the door of the oven and in turn ensure a good assembly with the cavity of the oven.
A wide variety of hinges for oven doors of different types of domestic stoves are known, from the most common constituted by two blades and a bolt as turning element or constituted by a sophisticated design, for example in Pat. US 4,163,344 discloses a hinge mechanism for door of homo that includes a balance modifier element, has characteristics of removable door and counterbalance by spring, however said spring exerts an axial force, while in the present invention is carried out in torque . In the Pat. U.S. 4,138, 988, there is described a hinge for homo which uses a cam mechanism and follower to be able to have condition of rest of the door between open and closed. In the Pat. U.S. No. 4,665,892, a hinge arrangement for a hinge door is described, whose characteristic is a counterbalance element by means of arms connected to each other by an axially elongated spring with two basic positions with a lock. In the Pat. U.S. No. 4,021,968 describes a counterbalance hinge for ovens, which has an adjustment system and counterbalance by rack-and-pinion mechanism acting with axial spring, in Pat. U.S. 4,287,873 a hinge is described which comprises: A pair of spring compression mechanisms for hinge; they are arranged in the structure of a domestic stove, under the corners of the closing mechanism by counterbalance of the door of the oven, to remove the door of the oven that door is partially opened to avoid the risk that the mechanisms are triggered because once the door is removed the mechanisms of the hinge are not counterbalanced, because they do not have the weight of the door to counteract the force exerted by the spring, the reinstallation of the door counterbalances the mechanism releasing the lock of the hinge with spring compression and this allows normal movement of the door between the closed and open positions.
Unlike other hinges, the present invention does not have a fixed roasting position, however, the door may swing at an angle of 40 to 60 degrees and may be removable. According to the U.S. patent 4.287873 de Goins, et. to the. The door can be detachable in different ways. In the present invention the hinges are mounted on the door and the counter hinge is mounted on the chassis of the stove.
DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The invention is described below according to the drawings of figures 1 to 5, in order to illustrate and make it clearer but of course without restricting its scope where: Fig. 1. is an isometric view of the hinge assembly.
Fig. 2 represents an exploded isometric view of the parts that integrate it to the hinge.
Fig. 3 shows a front view (a) and a side view (b) showing its parts in the open position of the stove.
Fig. 4. Represents a side view indicating the assembly on the counter hinge.
Fig. 5. is an exploded isometric view showing the application of the hinge and the counter hinge.
The present invention describes a hinge mechanism for oven doors 17 of domestic stoves according to fig. 1, a mechanism is seen where the hinge body 10, is a cold-rolled steel element dimensionally in the shape of "L" with a structure semiembuüda and bent in turn, to prevent corrosion, the hinge body 10 has, in addition, a galvanized finish, in this body all the parts that make up the hinge are assembled.
The way in which it is fastened to the oven door is by means of screwing, two screws in the front view 18 of figure 1, and a screw 19 in the side part, the assembly is made in the back door of the stove, as shown in FIG. shows in figure 5.
The hinge mechanism comprises a cylindrical bolt 12 arranged longitudinally and equidistantly, in the lower base of the body 10 which functions as a guide for assembling the hinge body 10 with an arrangement of elements of: hinge bushing 13, arranged concentrically to the bolt, hinge arm 11, and a helical spring hinge 14, this bolt is made of steel and has a galvanized finish, one of its main functions is to operate as a pivoting element of the hinge. The bolt 12 is assembled on the hinge body 10 longitudinally crossing both parts of the body as shown in Figure 2.
Another of the main components that constitute the hinge is the hinge arm 11 which allows by means of a slit like stop 20, to assemble the door assembly to the counter hinge 15, said parts being assembled in the frame of the oven 16 of the stove. The arm 11 is assembled by means of a bushing 13 which engages under pressure allowing it to be trapped and centered with respect to the slot 21 of the hinge body 10 on a knurling 22 (corrugated) that has the bushing 13. Another of the main functions that the arm 11 in conjunction with the hinge body 10 is to maintain a total opening of the oven door 17 of 80 °, which allows an appropriate access to the oven of the stove. Likewise, the hinge arm 11 also has a hole that allows the door to be removed from the stove if necessary and to be able to mount any model of door on the stove, the way in which it can be removed. The door is opening and inserting a bolt through the bore of the hinge arm 11 on both sides, which when closing the door does not allow the hinge to turn and at that moment to remove the door.
The bushing 13 is made of steel with galvanized finish and one of its functions is to allow the arm 11 to rotate since internally the bushing is crossed by the bolt 12 and there is a play between both parts to allow its operation, the spring 14 is a steel element, which can be greater or less than fourteen turns and its main function is to balance the door.
Different types of springs with different calibers are known (0.125, 0.110 and 0.102 of Inches). (3.175, 2.794 and 2.5908 mm.). Generally thinner gauge springs are used for lightweight doors and thicker ones for heavy gates.
The spring 14 works in torsion and is assembled by a device being trapped between the body 10 and the arm li through the bolt 12 as shown in Figure 3 (a). The counter hinge 15 is made of galvanized sheet which is assembled in the frame of homo 16 as shown in fig. 5; This piece is of "U" shape and its articulated design is one piece bent as a tubular profile, this has several functions, one of the main ones being to support the oven door through the hinge arm 11, being trapped in a hole of the arm 11 as indicated in figure 4, managing to maintain a separation between door and frame of controlled homo. This part of the hinge is subjected to great efforts due to the loading of the door as well as the application of several kilos that some Mexican standards contemplate. Another function of the contrabisagra is to ensure a good seal on the side of the oven and the frontal brow of the oven.
Having described the invention is considered a novelty and therefore the content is claimed in the following:
