Abstract
Described is a coaxial cable having a low surface friction coefficient, which comprises a central conductor; an insulator for coating the central conductor; a shield about the insulator; a first coating for coating the shield; and a second coating for coating the first coating; the second coating includes at least a lubricating agent based on a fatty acid amide such as oleamide and erucamide, which is led to the outer surface of the coaxial cable, the first coating preventing the lubricating agent from reaching the shield. The second coating has a thickness lower than that of the first coating so that the amount of the lubricating agent reaching the first coating is spread therein without reaching the shield. A method for manufacturing the coaxial cable is also described, this method comprising the following steps: extruding an insulator for coating a central conductor; coating the insulator with a shield; extruding a first coating for coating a shield; and co-extruding a second coati ng for coating the first coating; the second coating includes at least a lubricating agent led towards the outer surface of the coaxial cable, the second coating preventing the lubricating agent from being led to the shield.
