Abstract

The present invention refers to the use of fine residues resulting from the gasoline tank milling. Said residues are a mixture of several polymers, such as the high-density polyethylene (HDPE), the ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer and chemically modified polymers acting as adhesives in the layers of the tanks. Moreover, said fine residues, which are generally sent to dumps, can be used upon heat-mixing the same with different antioxidant additives so as to obtain blow molded articles, which are useful as containers for diverse liquids such as oils or solvents. Improvements in the processability, surface appearance and mechanical properties of the articles are obtained by said compositions.
