Abstract

Se proporcionan un método y aparato para comunicar informacion de usuario de VBI en corrientes de datos de television digital a través de una sintaxis genérica. La sintaxis permite el transporte digital de virtualmente cualquier tipo de datos de usuario que pueda portarse en la porcion de VBI de una señal de television análoga. Se utiliza un generador de pixeles para insertar líneas de VBI en una señal de video digital que utiliza informacion proporcionada en la porcion de usuario de la corriente de datos digital. La sintaxis proporciona al generador de pixeles el tiempo de inicio del primer símbolo, el numero de pixeles por símbolo, los niveles altos y bajos por insertar, la fraccion del tiempo de símbolo que es el tiempo de transicion, el numero de símbolos a insertar y el numero de líneas de cuadro en los cuales se insertan los datos.
