Abstract

Se exponen en la presente un sistema de etiquetado alimentado con rollo y una etiqueta asociada. La etiqueta (12) incluye una marca activadora (28) formada de tinta luminofora, es decir, que contiene un agente abrillantador optico fluorescente, que refleja como luz visible la luz UV dirigida a ésta. Una luz UV modulada es dirigida a la etiqueta y la luz visible reflejada modulada se detecta y utiliza para activar un mecanismo de corte que separa una las etiqueta del resto del rollo. La marca activadora no necesita ser contrastante visible con activadora no necesita ser contrastantemente visible con los gráficos circundantes de la etiqueta y puede ser invisible a la luz visible. Cuando se produce el rollo de etiquetas,la cantidad de agente abrillantador puede controlarse monitoreando la luminiscencia de la marca activadora con relacion a un nivel de referencia que puede derivarse en relacion a una luminiscencia máxima de otras partes de la etiqueta.
