Abstract

La presente invencion ser refiere a un sistema de conmutacion para proteccion de línea optica que se logra al emplear una pluralidad de amplificadores opticos de fibras adulteradas con tierras raras, como conexiones opticas conmutadas de ganancia, por ejemplo distribuidores opticos conmutados de ganancia, es decir conmutadores y/o selectores opticos conmutados de ganancia, en un sistema de conmutacion para proteccion de línea optica conmutada de ganancia. En una modalidad, al menos uno o más distribuidores opticos conmutados de ganancia se emplean para lograr la así llamada conmutacion de extremo de cabeza para una señal optica de ingreso y uno o más selectores opticos conmutados de ganancia se emplean para lograr la así llamada conmutacion de extremo de cola de la señal optica, para formar un sistema de conmutacion para protecicon de línea optica 1x1 (1xN). En otra modalidad, una señal optica de ingreso se puentea a una o más trayectoriasopticas, mientras que la conmutacion de extremo de cola se logra al emplear uno o más selectores opticos conmutado de ganancia, para formar un sistema de conmutacion para proteccion de línea optica 1+1 (1+N).
