Abstract

Se proveen uno medios automáticos para hidratar y empacar uno lentes de contacto hidrofílico moldeados en una de las partes molde usadas para moldear los lentes, en los cuales un primer ensamble retira una pluralidad de moldes de lentes de contacto de un portador de línea de produccion, cada uno de los moldes de lente tiene un lente de contacto adherido al mismo; el primer ensamble robotico transporta los moldes hacia una primera region de graduacion en donde los moldes de lente son emparedados entre un portador de molde de lente y una placa de cámara superior para formar un primer portador de hidratacion; después, el portador de hidratacion es transportado a través de una pluralidad de estaciones de derrame o extraccion en donde se introduce agua recién desionizada en las cámaras de hidratacion en cada estacion de hidratacion para derramar substancias lixiviables de la cámara de hidratacion; en cada estacion de derrame se introduce agua recién desionizada en la cámara de hidratacion para retirar impurezas extraídas anteriormente y los productos de hidrolisis; un dispositivo robotico final de desensamblado separa la placa de cámara superior y los moldes de lente en la placa portadora de molde, para proveer lentes completamente hidratados en un molde concavo de lentes, listo para transferirse a las estaciones de inspeccion y empacada; después de la inspeccion de los lentes, el molde concavo de lente es dosificado con solucion salina y es usado para formar parte del paquete usado para distribuir los lentes.
