Abstract

Se describe un procedimiento para tratar corrientes de gas no condensables que contienen H2S, y para tratar vapor que contiene H2S, el procedimiento se caracteriza por la unica division de la corriente no condensable, o de una corriente que contiene H2S no condensable, separada, derivada del vapor, con el tratamiento oxidante diverso de las porciones separadas. La invencion es particularmente adecuada para tratar el vapor de escape de una turbina de vapor, la cual utiliza vapor geotérmico como el fluido de trabajo. Es un aspecto preferido, el desecho del azufre producido como subproducto normal de los pasos oxidativos de líquido, puede ser reducido o evitado a través de la reaccion del azufre con bisulfito y/o sulfito producido en el procedimiento para producir tiosulfato soluble.
