Abstract

Cuatro etapas de arquitectura celular digital se presentan que reutilizan gran parte de la infraestructura de voz existente mientras que permite introduccion elegante de datos de servicio integrados de voz/datos sobre plataformas de bajo costo estándar en la industria. Primero, se introduce una infraestructura basada en ATM separada que soporta servicios de datos. Se introduce un nuevo control de llamada de datos en plataformas de equipo físico estándar industrial, utilizando programacion modular y orientada de objetos. En segundo, ATM se introduce en puertos de radio y funciones de control de llamada se migran a las nuevas plataformas de control de llamada basadas en ATM. En tercer lugar, se introducen codificadores de voz en DCS. En cuarto lugar, las funciones celulares del conmutador celular legacy se separan en fase y reemplazan por la arquitectura objetivo basada en ATM.
