Abstract
La presente invencion describe el uso terapéutico de la L-carnitina, algunas alcanoil L-carnitinas y las sales farmacologicamente aceptables de la mismas, en combinacion con antioxidantes hidrofílicos o antioxidantes lipofílicos o derivados de los mismos, o productos naturales que contienen estas substancias, para la prevencion y tratamiento de enfermedades del sistema nervioso central tales como parkinsonismo, trauma, parálisis cerebral, neuropatía diabética; del sistema nervioso periférico tales como la neuropatía periférica diabética y el daño traumático de los nervios; del sistema cardiovascular tales como daño por apoplejía isquémica-reperfusion y claudicacion intermitente; y anormalidades del sistema inmune en condiciones de baja presion de oxígeno.
