Abstract
A novel method for the enzymatic hydrolysis of 4-methylthiobutyronitriles into racemic 4-methylthiobutyric acid using a nitrilase of Alcaligenes faecalis, Rhodococcus sp. HT 29-7 or Gordona terrae.
