Abstract
Un proceso para la descontaminacion de un medio, que comprende un material contaminado con una o más especies orgánicas y una o más especies metálicas, caracterizado porque comprende las etapas de tratar un cuerpo del medio por un proceso, el cual desdobla el contaminante o contaminantes orgánicos por o a través de la accion de agentes microbianos seguidos por el tratamiento del mismo cuerpo con ácido sulfurico producido microbianamente, para solubilizar y lixiviar la especie metálica como un sulfato de metal y tratar el sulfato de metal lixiviado, por un proceso de bioprecipitacion, el cual convierte el sulfato a uno o más sulfuros de metal insoluble.
