The present invention discloses an improved spark plug for gasoline engines having an external bushing conical tip or negative electrode which protects the interior of the spark plug and the positive electrode from dirt accumulation, preventing the spark plug thermal range and the positive electrode conduction from being excessively reduced or increased. The negative electrode tip is provided with a plurality of cross-like cuts, thereby providing a plurality of radially and axially arranged integral negative electrodes which substantially increase the motor ignition process efficiency. Calibration of the spark plugs is provided by the difference between the length of said cuts and the width of the positive electrode nicromel tip during the manufacturing process of each of the spark plug types as required.
