Abstract

Se revela una aleacion práctica basada en aluminio y que contiene de 1 a 99 por ciento en peso, de berilio, y también se revelan métodos mejorados para el procesamiento semi-solido de aleaciones de aluminio que contiene berilio. Los presentes métodos avitan el berilio fundido, la agitacion de las aleaciones de aluminio-berilio fundidas, y la necesidad de introducir fuerzas de cizallamiento, gracias a la utilizacion de partículas atomizadas o molidas, de berilio mezcladas con aluminio solido, en forma de partículas o en forma de líquidos. La retencion de la morfología equiaxial del berilio después del procesamiento semi-solido, modificado, de una aleacion aluminio-berilio, queda demostrada mediante la fotomicrografía de la Figura.
