Abstract
En un receptor (191) que describe una señal (103) posterior a latransmisión de la misma desde un transmisor en un canal de comunicación,un aparato y un método para determinar un punto en el tiempo a fin dedetectar la señal muestreada en varios puntos en el tiempo, para produciruna señal detectada (112). El canal de comunicación está moldeado endiferentes puntos en el tiempo, que responden a la señal muestreada (110)para producir modelos de canal de señal y de ruido (209) y (204),respectivamente. Se generan valores de señal y de ruido (210) y (205) queindican la cantidad de señal y de ruido en los modelos de canal de señal yde ruido respectivamente. Un selector de punto de muestreo (203)selecciona, entre los diferentes puntos en el tiempo (111), quecorresponde al valor de ruido mínimo determinado (206) o al valor máximode la proporción señal a ruido (213), para detectar una señal muestreada(110) para producir la señal detectada (112).
