Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un método para controlar la antracnosis provocada por Colletotrichum en frutos tropicales, plantas o cultivares de frutos tropicales o partes de la planta o locus de la misma. El método comprende los pasos de poner en contacto la planta o cultivar de frutos tropicales que necesita tratamiento con una composición agroquímica que comprende una cantidad efectiva de una guanidina o una sal y/o solvato de la misma. El paso de contacto puede repetirse una o más veces a un intervalo fijo. La guanidina puede ser dodina, trialbesilato de iminoctadina, triacetato de iminoctadina, guazatina, sales y/o solvatos de cualquiera de los anteriores y combinaciones de uno o más de los anteriores.
