Abstract

Se describe un sistema para la remoción de nitrógeno a partir de una corriente de gas natural líquida (GNL). El sistema comprende un intercambiador de calor de alimentación y una columna separadora. El calor [sic] recibe la corriente de GNL y enfría la corriente de GNL por medio de intercambio de calor con una corriente de efluente lateral de columna separadora para proporcionar una corriente de GNL enfriada y una corriente de efluente lateral calentada. La columna separadora recibe la corriente de GNL enfriada en una primera bandeja y la corriente de efluente lateral calentada. La columna separadora produce la corriente de efluente lateral de columna separadora, una corriente superior de columna separadora y una corriente inferior de columna separadora. La corriente de efluente lateral de columna separadora se toma de la columna separadora en una segunda bandeja. La segunda bandeja está por lo menos aproximadamente 4.6 m (15 pies) mayor que el intercambiador de calor de alimentación.
