Abstract
La presente invención proporciona un método de recuperación de zinc y cobre a partir de una solución acuosa que contiene sulfato y cloruro. En el primer paso del proceso, se extraen en forma simultánea zinc y cobre con una solución de extracción compuesta de un líquido quelante intercambiador de cationes y un líquido intercambiador de aniones. Luego de la extracción, prosiguen algunas etapas de remoción consecutivas. Primero, las especies aniónicas se lavan de la fase orgánica con una o más soluciones acuosas y, finalmente, el cobre se remueve con una solución acuosa ácida.
