Abstract
Un método para decodificar video de JVET, que comprende definir una plantilla de unidad de codificación (CU) dentro de un área decodificada de una trama de video, la plantilla de CU se coloca arriba y/o a la izquierda de una posición de decodificación actual para la cual se intra-predijeron los datos, que define una ventana de búsqueda dentro del área decodificada, la ventana de búsqueda es adyacente a la plantilla de CU, generar una pluralidad de plantillas de predicción candidatas basándose en valores de pixel en la ventana de búsqueda, cada una de la pluralidad de plantillas de predicción candidatas se genera utilizando diferentes modos de intra-predicción, calcular un costo de correlación entre la plantilla de CU y cada una de la pluralidad de plantillas de predicción candidatas, seleccionar un modo de intra-predicción que generó la plantilla de predicción candidata que tenía el costo de correlación más bajo con respecto a la plantilla de CU, y generar una CU de predicción para la posición de decodificación actual basándose en el modo de intra-predicción.
