Abstract
Un codificador de audio para codificar una señal de audio que tiene una banda de frecuencia más baja y una banda de frecuencia superior, comprende: a detector (802) para detectar una región espectral del pico en la banda de frecuencia superior de la señal de audio; a conformador (804) para conformar la banda de frecuencia más baja usando información de conformación para la banda más baja y para conformar la banda de frecuencia superior usando al menos una porción de la información de conformación para la banda más baja, donde el conformador (804) está configurado para atenuar adicionalmente valores espectrales en la región espectral del pico detectada en la banda de frecuencia superior; y a etapa de cuantificador y codificador (806) para cuantificar a banda de frecuencia más baja conformada y a banda de frecuencia superior conformada y para codificar por entropía valores espectrales cuantificados de la banda de frecuencia más baja conformada y la banda de frecuencia superior conformada.
