Abstract

Se describe un método que realiza un dispositivo inalámbrico para adaptar la resolución de informes de medición. El método comprende hacer una medición, determinar una resolución del informe de la medición que se va a utilizar y enviar un informe de la medición al nodo de la red codificado con base en la resolución del informe de la medición determinada. De acuerdo con modalidades adicionales, antes de determinar la resolución del informe de la medición que se va a utilizar, el dispositivo inalámbrico informa al nodo de red de las capacidades que tiene el dispositivo inalámbrico para enviar los informes de medición codificados con base en una pluralidad de diferentes resoluciones de informes de medición. De acuerdo con modalidades adicionales, después de informar al nodo de red de las capacidades del dispositivo inalámbrico, y antes de determinar la resolución del informe de la medición que se va a utilizar, el dispositivo inalámbrico recibe, desde el nodo de red, una resolución del informe de la medición deseada.
