Abstract

La presente invención está relacionada con la obtención de una nueva clase de estructuras químicas de la familia de las poliimidas aromáticas lineales de alto peso molecular para la aplicación como membranas selectivas para la separación de gases; estas membranas pueden aplicarse de manera eficiente a la separación de los siguientes pares de gases: H2/CH4, He/N2, H2/CO2, O2/N2, CO2/CH4 y CO2/N2; aplicables para la industria petrolera. Específicamente el objeto de la invención se vincula con el desarrollo de membranas densas, cuyas estructuras químicas poliméricas contengan la combinación de: 1) en la parte proveniente de la diamina, la estructura de la diamina 4-fluoro-4',4"-diaminotrifenilmetano, y 2) en la parte proveniente del dianhídrido, un dianhídrido aromático derivado de ácido tetracarboxílico que puede ser de disponibilidad comercial o cualquier dianhídrido aromático derivado de ácido tetracarboxílico.
