Abstract
La invención se refiere a un procedimiento de soldadura por resistencia de un panel sándwich a al menos un componente metálico adicional, teniendo el panel sándwich dos capas de cubierta metálicas y una capa de material plástico termoplástico intermedia entre las capas de cubierta metálicas, en cuyo procedimiento al menos esa región del panel sándwich que ha de soldarse se calienta de tal manera que la capa de material de plástico termoplástico se ablanda y por la compresión de las capas de cubierta se desplaza de la zona de soldadura, las capas de cubierta y el componente adicional se sueldan entre sí mediante una corriente eléctrica que fluye por medio de un primer y un segundo electrodo de soldadura, estando el primer electrodo de soldadura en contacto con una capa de cubierta metálica del panel sándwich, y estando el segundo electrodo de soldadura en contacto con el componente metálico. Se consigue el objeto de proporcionar un procedimiento sencillo de soldadura por resistencia de paneles sándwich, por medio del cual un panel sándwich puede unirse a un componente metálico adicional en un corto tiempo de ciclo sin que surjan ampollas ni defectos en el componente sándwich, ya que la soldadura por resistencia comprende al menos las siguientes etapas: - (A) calentar esa región del panel sándwich que se ha de soldar por una corriente de precalentamiento, y desplazar el material plástico entre las capas de cubierta metálicas del panel sándwich en la región de soldadura mediante la aplicación de una fuerza de soldadura al primer y segundo electrodo de soldadura de tal manera que las capas de cubierta metálicas del panel sándwich se presionan una sobre otra, - (B) generar una soldadura por puntos entre las capas de cubierta metálicas del panel sándwich, usando una corriente de soldadura por puntos entre el primer y segundo electrodo de soldadura, - (C) soldar las capas de cubierta metálicas soldadas por puntos del panel sándwich al componente por medio de una corriente de soldadura.
