Abstract
Se describen sistemas y métodos que usan procesamiento y técnicas de análisis discriminante con el fin de reducir el tiempo requerido para determinar las propiedades químicas y/o físicas de una sustancia. Un método incluye hacer interactuar ópticamente múltiples elementos ópticos con una o más sustancias conocidas, donde cada elemento óptico está configurado para detectar una característica particular de la o las sustancias conocidas, generar una respuesta óptica de cada elemento óptico correspondiente a cada sustancia conocida, donde cada sustancia conocida corresponde a un espectro conocido almacenado en una base de datos óptica, y entrenar una red neuronal para proporcionar un modelo de clasificación de análisis discriminante para una sustancia desconocida, donde la red neuronal usa cada respuesta óptica como entradas y uno o más tipos de fluido como resultado, y los resultados corresponden a la o las sustancias conocidas.
