Abstract

La presente invención se refiere al campo de la farmacología y describe y provee de los elementos para proponer al ácido nordihidroguayarético (NDGA) o derivados del mismo, como un agente antiviral para inhibir al virus del dengue (DENV), provee de las composiciones que comprendan NDGA y provee de los elementos para realizar profilaxis o el tratamiento eficaz en paciente con síntomas de dengue clásico o bien con dengue hemorrágico, infectado por cualquier serotipo de DENV, de preferencia de tipo 2 ó 4.
