Abstract
El deshidratador de alimentos utilizando energía renovable es un aparato que realiza la operación de secado para deshidratar productos como los alimentos, mediante un flujo de aire caliente que es calentado de manera indirecta a través de un intercambiador de calor a través del cual circula un fluido térmico que capta y almacena la energía solar, complementando el suministro de energía calorífica con un sistema auxiliar de calentamiento, cuando la radiación solar disminuye por nubosidad o durante la noche. El sistema auxiliar de calentamiento del fluido térmico puede ser mediante un calentador de combustión que utiliza combustible preferentemente producido de fuentes renovables, o un sistema de resistencias eléctricas sumergidas en el fluido térmicos. El suministro eléctrico que requieren las resistencias y demás dispositivos eléctricos del deshidratador, es generado mediante un sistema fotovoltaico solar.
