Abstract

Un producto y método para la detección de uno o más analitos en una muestra recolectada emplea acción capilar en una tarjeta de muestra (5) que contiene un substrato de muestra, al menos una cápsula de prueba (25) y una almohadilla absorbente (45). La almohadilla absorbente (45) absorbe los contenidos de la cápsula de prueba (25) y distribuye los mismos al substrato de muestra, con los contenidos de la cápsula de prueba (25) que reaccionan químicamente con al menos un reactivo de detección para establecer un indicador óptico para los analitos. La tarjeta de muestra (5) se puede probar de manera automática dentro del dispositivo lector (80) que suministra una o más fuentes de luz, registra y procesa una señal óptica producida por la reacción química, y produce un resultado de prueba. La invención tiene aplicabilidad particular en unión con la detección de analitos explosivos, narcóticos, organofosfatos y/o relacionados a disparos. La invención también se refiere al uso de tintas específicas de reactivos de detección que se correlacionan a los analitos de interés.
