Abstract
Se describen diversas modalidades de herramienta eléctrica y un método para operar la misma. La herramienta eléctrica puede incluir un primer sensor de posición, un segundo sensor de posición, un tercer sensor de posición y un controlador. El primer, segundo y tercer sensores de posición pueden cada uno generar una señal indicadora de una distancia entre la respectiva posición del sensor y una pieza de trabajo. El controlador puede determinar uno o más ángulos de la herramienta eléctrica con respecto a la pieza de trabajo con base en la primera, la segunda y tercera señales y presentar una indicación en cuanto a si uno o más ángulos está dentro de un margen predeterminado. El controlador además puede obtener una medición de profundidad basada en la primera señal, la segunda señal y la tercera señal y generar, basándose en la medición de profundidad obtenida, una o más señales de control que controlan la operación de la herramienta eléctrica.
