Abstract

Un método para decodificar un flujo de bits de audio codificado y generar una extensión de ancho de banda de frecuencia incluye decodificar un flujo de bits de audio para producir una señal de audio de banda baja decodificada y generar un espectro de excitación de banda baja que corresponde a una banda de baja frecuencia. Un área de sub-banda se selecciona desde dentro de la banda de baja frecuencia utilizando un parámetro que indica información de energía de una envolvente espectral de la señal de audio de banda baja decodificada. Un espectro de excitación de banda alta se genera para una banda de alta frecuencia al copiar un espectro de excitación de sub-banda desde el área de sub-banda seleccionada a un área de sub-banda alta correspondiente a la banda de alta frecuencia. Usando el espectro generado de excitación de banda alta, una señal de audio de banda alta extendida se genera mediante la aplicación de una envolvente espectral de banda alta.
