The invention relates to a composition comprising ranitidine, nopal mucilage (as a natural controlled-release vehicle with gastric mucosa regenerative properties) and a wetting agent, for use in the treatment of gastric disorders, such as gastric ulcers, active duodenal ulcers, Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, gastro-esophageal reflux and erosive esophagitis.
