Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un método para el tratamiento de alquitrán de pozo que comprende: poner en contacto al residuo de alquitrán en un pozo con un fluido de tratamiento de base acuosa que comprende un polímero estabilizador de alquitrán que comprende un copolímero de co-monómeros de estireno en el que el copolímero de co-monómeros de estireno comprende los co-monómeros de estireno en una cantidad en el intervalo de 99% a 100% en peso, en donde el copolímero de co-monómeros de estireno está esencialmente libre de acrilato y ácido acrílico y en el que el polímero estabilizador de alquitrán está dispersado en el fluido de tratamiento acuoso como una emulsión de látex o un polvo, y permitir que el fluido de tiramiento de base acuosa interactúe con el alquitrán para reducir al menos parcialmente la tendencia del alquitrán a adherirse a una superficie; y después de que el fluido de tratamiento de base acuosa ha interactuado con el alquitrán, el alquitrán se retira del pozo filtrando el alquitrán del fluido del tratamiento de base acuosa.
