Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un método y sistema para remover y manejar agua en hidrocarburos líquidos. El sistema y método utilizan un filtro absorbente de agua, tal como uno que utiliza polímeros súper absorbentes, celulosa, algodón u otro material adecuado para remover agua del sistema que está presente ya sea como agua libre o como humedad disuelta dentro del hidrocarburo líquido. El filtro de polímero súper absorbente se puede regenerar a través de la introducción de un hidrocarburo líquido seco, a través del uso de un sistema de secado de aire, o una combinación de ambos.
